Hi do i need a celestron xlt diagonal for celestron luminos Barlow 2.5x

Does not have to be the Celestron brand, any diagonal of the correct size is fine. But make sure it’s compatible with the eye piece dimension.

Is this compatible with a celestron nexstar 130slt? also, can i use my current 1.5" t-ring set up for photos.

No is the simple answer. But is you want upgrade parts of your telescope you could use this. Your telescope come with a 1.25 inch star diagonal this Barlow Lens is 2 inch. You can buy a 2 inch Star Daigonal. You also need a new Visual Back to allow new Star Diagonal. This become an expensive hobby. But if truth be told your new accessories would be better than the scope it’s self.

i am new and just wondering can i use this on the 8se?

Yes you can. I would only use it on bright objects like the moon on planets in opposition, as I found the lens coating made more distant images too faint.

Hi it will if you have a 2inch star diagonal to put into I've looked at your telescope and it defiantly has 1.25 inch so you will need 1 of that size Celestron 93428 1.25 Inch X-Cel LX 3x Barlow Lens - Black hope this helps. Regards Mark Winham.
