A Versatile and Reliable Tool for Wind Measurement
This 3-in-1 wind meter has proven to be an incredibly handy and versatile device. For anyone needing quick and accurate readings of wind speed, temperature, and Beaufort scale level, this tool gets the job done efficiently. One of its strongest points is the sheer range of applications it can handle. While I haven't personally tested it in a petrochemical plant, I've found it invaluable for everything from checking the airflow in my home's ventilation system to satisfying my curiosity about local weather conditions on a windy day. The ability to switch between units like m/s, Km/h, and mph is a simple but essential feature that makes it practical for various needs without having to do manual conversions. The dual-line LCD is clear and easy to read, simultaneously displaying both wind speed and temperature, which is a great touch. The backlight is bright enough for use in dim conditions, and features like Data HOLD, MAX/MIN/AVG readings, and the auto-power-off function are thoughtful additions that enhance its usability and power (batteries) saving. It feels well-suited for both professional and hobbyist use, offering a solid set of features in a compact package. At this price point, it's a also a great value for the money spent.

Nice Anemometer. Worked perfect for measuring fume extractor flow before and after filter clean.

Good price works great
I needed to check the velocity coming out of the register vents on the air conditioner job I did and was surprised at how quick it got here and how well it worked and easy to use and the price you just can’t beat it

works great
I bought this wind gage to check air flow of my HEPA filters and different types of furnace filters, So I could tell if a filter was blocking to much air flow. The unit is well made, easy to use. Battery life is good, easy to read display. All in all, it is a great tool.

Good Air Flow Meter Though Not Great For Air Flow Temp
This is a pretty good item and easy to use. It does a good job of measuring the air flow passing over the fan at the top of the device. So if the flow is strong enough to move that fan, it can get a reading. I used it mostly to measure the air flow of of my home and car AC systems. In both cases I did that by holding it up to the vent in question. It gave pretty consistent air-flow readings. I can't really speak to their accuracy as I've got no other way to measure. The screen was clear and the info on it displayed well both with and without the backlight. It was a good value for the money, as well. My one critique would be that although it touts the ability to also display the temperature, that reading is more of a reading of the ambient air in the room. I'm not sure where the temp sensor is on it, but it clearly isn't up near the fan. That means that you can put it against an AC vent in a 75 degree house with 55 degree air coming out of the vent. It will give you the speed of the air flow just fine, but the temp reading is likely to still say 75 since the temp sensor isn't measuring the air running through the fan blades. To make my measurements, i supplemented this tool with a laser gun temp sensor that I usually use for various kitchen duties. Pointing that into a vent to get the temp of the metal in there gave much a much better sense as to the temp of the air flowing out of it. Battery life seems fine. I used it for several days at home and in the car taking various readings and the batteries lasted fine through all of that. Overall, it's a pretty good product for the money if you aren't concerned with the temp of the air flow you are measuring.

Easy to Use and Works Well.
Works fine. I was nearly blown off my feet while putting gas in my car the other day and wondered how fast the wind was howling through the gas pump islands. Ordered this. I keep it in the car and find that winds aren't blowing quite as fast as I had estimated. Not vital information for someone like me with only a passing interest and 6 hours of college meteorology - but interesting to have. For me, it's an adult toy that I enjoy.

Auto-Power off is annoying
I bought this just in case I needed it and finally used it a few years after purchasing. I needed to measure my furnace's air speed. It worked great for measuring speed but the auto-power off and lack of memory made it a pretty annoying experience. It kept turning off after 3 minutes as I went from room to room. Plus each time it turns off you have to hear the annoying beeps when you turn it on AND remember to set the units. I should have spent a few bucks more.
