Purchased for my friend’s father who has hearing issues and he is really happy now that he can hear clearly.

These things are junk. very hard to turn on and change level of sound. When I recieved them I put them on charge for 24 hours and put them in my ears. I could get the right one turned on but the left one dows not work at all. I am 73 years old and just do not think this is a usable product for older people. Sure I could return them for exchange or a refund but the hassel you have to go through is rediculous. Jim Martin

Right ear quit working

OK - I am a very experienced wearer/owner of high end hearing aids (the $3,000 per ear kind). But I have been evaluating the new affordable Over-the-Counter hearing aids like this one. I've kissed a lot of frogs. This by far is the best of the affordable (low cost) bunch. Now then, if you have minor hearing loss, or this is your first time wearing hearing aids, the bar is probably is a little low, and you don't have much to compare with. It's not all about volume (these are great with volume) ... it's about sound quality, flexible features, and reliability. These don't squeal unnecessarily or at random. The form factor - while not too micro or macro, is just right - since they are easy to insert, remove and adjust, AND unlike other similar hearing aids, the form factor does not make the hearing aids sensitive to movement or precise placement (otherwise they squeal or don't work).The volume adjustment is clever and simple (just tap to increase or decrease). And the charger is wonderful - also charger 4-5 times without being plugged in. Downsides? None really. (well if you are used to other hearing aids - RED usually means RIGHT ear... but for this set). Also I would have liked more markings on it to understand which side is up. But the instructions are great. I also wished maybe they had a premium version (one day) with bluetooth capability and even some phone-app capability. (yes I am now comparing them to the higher end hearing aids). They exceed the inexpensive OTC class of hearing aids. 5 stars.

These hearing devices worked well for my ears. I loved that they are nude color looking on the external part that shows. This set came with many different sized ear pieces that fit down into my ear canal. The sound quality was great as compared with other cheaper sets. I liked that I could differentiate between the one set for my left and right ear. I also like that there is nothing that has to hang over my ear, as I have smaller ears and my other device falls often off f my ear. The case that these came with is also where I recharge them, and all I have to do is sit them down into the cas. I didn’t have to fool with plugging each one into a cord. I loved the quick start guide that really helped me as well. It outlines a twenty one day plan when first wearing. I had forgotten what birds chirping and my footsteps sounded like, so the little sounds I am hearing again are taking me a little while to get used to. I found these easy to set on what type of hearing I wanted and controlling them seems easy. Nice set that is hardly noticeable in my ears.

I ordered these for my hubby and haven’t been able to get him to try them yet, so I tried them out. I don’t have hearing loss but boy, could I hear everything really loud – and I had them on the lowest setting. When I coughed, it sounded like an explosion! They would take some getting used to because of the squealing, but it seems like if you get used to where to touch them (away from the mic), or just keep your hands away from them, they won’t squeal. They fit in my ears well and were fairly easy to figure out. I could definitely hear a good bit of background white noise, it basically sounded like a distant waterfall, but the house was quiet and I don’t have hearing loss so not sure everyone would notice it much. I’m hoping I can get my hubby to wear these at least while he’s watching tv. I think they could help him.
