I decided to try after the Retinol moisturizing cream I was using was no longer available. There are so many to choose from and in my search came up Amazon Basics Retinol Serum. It works very well as it absorbs thoroughly into the skin, small wrinkles around mouth, eyes, and vertical lines above lip line are diminished. I then used on two age spots on my hand and after a couple of days it has lightened significantly and should be gone soon. Very pleased with this serum as it works as expected. Also, I don't think this has a scent and if it does, my nose is not picking it up although I am not fragrance intolerant.

When I think serum, I think of a translucent color, but this is creamy white and only a small amount is needed, and there is no offensive odor. I just reached 70 and have dry sensitive skin with larger pores. If you’re using retinol for the first time you might want to apply it less frequent at first.

I’ve been using this for 3 weeks now. I use it every other night because my face has had sensitivity to retinol in the past (rash/burning sensation). In the morning I wash it off and use a moisturizer and sunscreen if I’ll be outside, and so far no reaction. I am going to try to start using it every night. I don’t see a difference in wrinkles,but my face feels softer, and it seems to be smoothing out my complexion a bit. Probably too soon to tell. It has a nice feel to it, light weight and not greasy at all.

I've been using a pricier serum for a long time but when I saw this product and that is is like the higher end serum, I decided to give it a try. I've been using it for over a month now and it works just like the higher priced serum. The texture is light and it goes on my face with a smooth application. It has no scent to it. My skin feels smooth and looks good. It dries quickly and I use regular moisturizer on top of it. I haven't had any type of adverse reaction to it since I started using it. You don't need much, just about a pea size drop of it for your face. I will order this again.

While this is meant to be a generic version of CeraVe's retinol serum, it really just feels like another moisturizer. It is quite thick and creamy, which is great for moisturizing your skin, but if you're looking for the benefits of a retinol product, you might want to look elsewhere. The bottle is conveniently sized, and the pump works well. If anything, I find a lot of product actually dries up in the pump between uses (even when using daily), so I question how much product is getting wasted as dried clumps that can't be properly used.

Got this due to daughter's insistence, "You need retinol!" Yep. It made a positive difference in 2 weeks and never want to go back to my old routine. Anyone who suffers with sinus issues knows what I mean when I say the darkness under your eyes is ridiculous and hard to conceal, no matter what you use. In just a couple of days, I noticed my undereye area was brighter. I then switched to using it twice a week, along with Arnica gel, and my darkness is barely visible now! I'm lucky to have good genes, at almost 60, so wrinkles haven't really hit me yet, but I'm not ashamed to say that, if this helps keep them at bay, I'll continue use for that as well as the undereye shadows.
