SUPPORT THIS BRAND!! This pomade could not work better!!
Don't listen to the naysayers! This is the first product I have found and tested with beeswax that actually WORKS!! Exceptionally well!! You really don't need much, that is the truth. If you use more it still works, but you get little minuscule specks which appear. It's part of the product, but I swear to you it is incredible. THANK GOD for a natural hair product that keeps your hair in place and is still pliable when you need it. It holds the shape of your hair ALL DAY. Take it from someone who has found at least 2-3 great hair products over the years that work and then the company discontinues the product or it goes out of business, believe me, I get SO frustrated because of how hard it is to find something that is quality, reasonably priced and doesn't have any harmful, garbage ingredients. However, the day has come to invest in a beautiful, healthy, and effective pomade that holds hair with style (pun intended) and washes out better than anything I've experienced. It spreads in hands with ease and goes in hair even easier. The smell is refreshing as well!! To the founder/owner who worked 92 times to get this product just right...never change the quality! Kudos to you sir! You did amazing work!

Superb texture clay pomade!
So I've had a LOT of experience with hair styling products, from high end brands, all the way to homebrewed brands. I was a tester on many products before they launched etc.. There are some homebrewed brands and other "natural" ones that really make amazing products but, there are only 2 brands that make a texture clay with only 4-5 ingredients. And it's Jack Henry and Oxfordhill. Now, here goes the big difference. Everything we wanted Jack Henry to be, and unfortunately is not, Oxfordhill is! Meaning that, a texture clay pomade is supposed offer a level of grit, a nice matte finish, volume, texture, a thickening effect, a durable & reliable hold, but also, a level of hydration, all that, with an easy washability. Now Jack Henry is a great brand, but, their clay pomade is way too oily which makes the volume drop quickly, making hair feel thinner and the washout is also, a true pain in the ass. Now with Oxfordhill Clay Pomade, you have EVERYTHING that a texture clay pomade is supposed to have. It offers grit (like a clay should), a nice matte finish(nothing oily or greasy), volume, texture, a thickening effect, it feels super lightweight in the hair, it has a durable & reliable hold, but also, offers a level of hydration that makes it feel good in the hair throughout the styling phase and also, the rest of the day. And all that, with an easy washability! I also love the beautiful thick glass jar it comes in. It comes off the hands super easily, with a tiny soap. You don't have to rub for 5 minutes like with the Jack Henry one. And it washes out of the hair very easily as well, with a little shampoo. There's no irritation if you leave the product in overnight, the natural ingredients treat your hair while styling it. Also, the scent is absolutely fabulous. It's so subtle, yet, natural. One of the nicest natural scents I've smelled in a hair product. And it's so super subtle, the way it should be. So if you have scent allergies like I do or a sensitive scalp like I do, you don't have to worry about any of that with this product. The hold is wonderful also. Once the clay cools off in your hair after styling, it'll stiffen up, but will remain malleable still. You can restyle if you want to later in the day. It's a wonderful product. And again, I'm not trying to put down the Jack Henry brand, but, their clay is way too oily. The Oxfordhill Clay Pomade wins in every department here. It competes with the top, natural, homebrewed brands, all that, with just 5 ingredients. And also, in the price department. Jack Henry is 28 bucks for 1.69 oz versus Oxfordhill at 25.99 for a full 2 Oz. I feel 2 oz is the perfect size for a hair product. Plus, a little bit goes a long way with this, so, a jar will last you à while.

GREAT FOR HUMID ENVIRONMENTS - Strong hold, malleable throughout the day, no residue
So I've been trying different hair products for over 20 years now. Some cheap, some high quality. This clay/pomade is what I've been searching for when it comes to hold and longevity without being overpowering. IF YOU LIVE IN A HUMID ENVIRONMNET THIS WILL HOLD ALL DAY. I live in a swamp (Florida) where humidity is at 90% or higher most of the time and my hair doesn't budge. I swim a lot down here and I love the way this holds in my hair after a swim. It really doesn't lose much strength coming in and out of the water and you can give it a quick style while it's wet so it looks good once it's dried. Pros: - strong hold that lasts up to two days (it will wash out on first wash with shampoo and conditioner, but I only do a full wash every couple of days to avoid my hair drying out) I like this because you can use less product and it's convenient to quickly style - no weird residue; it has some grit to it, but not distracting at all and isn't noticeable once applied in your hair - the hold is very strong BUT not like a gel or a pomade where it locks up your hair all day. The best part about the hold here is that my hair still has a natural feel to it, and I can style it all throughout the day because the product is strong enough to last over 24 hours - natural and simple ingredients so it won't mess with your hair's health - easy to apply - adds volume - gives your hair a beachy sea salt spray type of look and feel, but WAYYY better since this actually lasts and doesn't dry out your hair Cons: - smell is okay. If you scent is important to you, this won't impress. It's not bad but the scent is very subtle. But hey, that's what cologne is for- not everything needs to smell like sex - can build a strange odor in your hair over time. I mentioned that I only do a full wash of my hair every 2-3 days so you could have a different situation depending on your wash schedule, but I found this product will start to build an odor if I leave it in unwashed for too long. Not unpleasant, but not fresh. Just the slightest musk Other Notes - great for short to med length hair. Can't see how this would have an application with long hair, but I've never had long hair so what do I know? - pairs really well with a low weight pomade to add shine. This product does not carry any shine which is a good thing. You can easily add shine with a cheap pomade and I find myself doing this when I need a cleaner look for work. Allows for easy customization. I basically use this product as a base for hold and support, then add pomade to spice it up with some shine and thin out the texture a bit

Solid hold and pleasant smell
My husband was a loyal Old Spice clay user, and once I saw the ingredients I started looking for a swap and this product is defiantly a great replacement. The hold is nice and leaves a malleable texture in the hair so it can be adjusted/restyled through the day. The smell is light and pleasant and a little goes a long way! The glass jar is nice for recycling/low waste. 4/5 stars because it is an expensive product.

Very impressed! Nice alternative to Hanz de Fuko Quicksand
I took a bit of a chance testing out a new Clay Pomade sight unseen, and the Oxford Hill Texture Clay Pomade is a winner. My goal is to find a product that provides a moderate amount of hold while adding thickness/texture. What I found, however, is that a lot of products use descriptors like "firm hold", "matte", "clay", and "pomade", but those are interpreted very differently from one product to the next. Hanz de Fuko had my favorite one thus far, which is their "Quicksand" product. They actualy claim that it's a dry matte "wax", but the texture is very clay-like, and it actually offers only a very moderate hold with no stiffness. My favorite thing about it, however, is that it is truly a matte finish - it will not add wetness or greasiness to the hair, and leaves it looking natural, beach-dried, or whatever you like. This Oxford Hill clay is the first clay pomade I've come across that actually matches that texture. Almost like a sea-salt grittiness, somewhere between peanut butter and Play-Doh. It's very pliable and easy to work with, but you still want to emulsify is in your fingers/hand so as not to leave chunks. Compared to Quicksand, it probably offers just a little more hold, but works basically the same. It also has a very subtle scent to it that I really like - tough to describe, but looking at the ingredients, I detect hints of lavender and coconut. Thankfully, it isn't strong enough to be noticeable once on the hair. They claim that it sort of expands and activates on slightly damp hair, but I prefer applying it dry for the look. If you have longer or thicker hair, however, you might want to combine it with another product offering more hold (I use a very small amount of Hanz de Fuko Claymation for that exact purpose). The Oxford Hill isn't any cheaper than the alternatives, but this might be my new favorite!

If you're new to Bentonite, read this.
This particular hair product has a list of pros and cons. I love that it's all natural, quality ingredients, smells good (though it loses its scent), and the frosted-glass jar is what ALL hair products should come in. It is incredible at volumizing and texturizing hair very quickly. A+ for that. There is a learning curve though, with how much to use, and how much water to activate it with. It absolutely needs water, but not too much or too little. Cons: It's not high-hold. I had to use a lot to get the type of hold I was looking for. That made it even more drying than it already is. It took the softness and shine right out of my hair. Even after washing, my hair lacked shine and softness, as though it was damaged by it. That's a big strike against it. If you rework your hair mid-day, you will have to wash your hands. The stuff is primarily bentonite, it needs better balance. As a standalone product, it only served me well in some ways, and not in others. HOWEVER, this stuff makes a FANTASTIC pre-styler. Better than any seasalt spray. It has the drying, volumizing properties of pre-styler, but it lacks the "glue" of other products. Use a a tiny bit to pre-style, and follow it with a good pomade or product of your choice. Results have been the best I've ever achieved, that way. By itself, 3 stars. As a pre-styler, 6 stars.

Great product.
This is a great product and is probably the best pomade that I’ve used. After using Axe hair pomade, which had lots of chemicals and made my hair stick together, I wanted to try a more natural product. The fragrance is nice, I personally like it. The main thing I like about this product is that it works very well to add some texture to my hair, which is very dry and flat after I get out of the shower. It doesn’t make my hair feel slick or oily, it maintains the volume of my hair because the clay doesn’t cause hair to slick together like petroleum or oil-based products, and it doesn’t flake off after hours like Axe does. The hold is pretty loose. On a windy day, this product definitely gets challenged. I would consider this a medium hold product. The good thing is, even if the hold isn’t extremely firm, you can re-style your hair constantly, since the loose hold allows you to adjust the styling pretty easily. Overall, really pleased with this product.

Decent, But Greasy, Not High Hold!
I truly do hate leaving negative feedback for small companies, I'm a strong believer in giving companies a chance even when they mess up to see if they will fix it. If you look at my reviews I always do follow ups giving companies a honest chance. With that said: Did I happen to get a wrong one? Well, my reason for purchasing this product was due to the natural ingredients, and more importantly the fact that it is a "High Hold" product. I will speak on the good first! 1) The glass container is great but I'm sure that adds so much to the expensive price we pay. 2) This product will indeed make your hair look fuller and thicker and it really is a true matte product with no shine. 3) product allows for your hair to be styled throughout the day, I am n executive chef and have to wear hairnets and this was good to redo my hair without having to add more product Well, that's pretty much it for the good... The bad: 1) if you have curly wavy hair, you have to use more than the recommended amount in order to get it to spread throughout your hair. 2) This product is greasy and very hard to not only wash off your hands, but your hair. I shampooed my hair twice and still felt it in my hair, I had to use a clarifying shampoo to get it off and that isn't healthy for your hair if you have to do that every day. 3) There is zero nice smelling scent, I'm not sure what people are speaking of, it smells like wax and nothing more. There is no specific scent other than wax. 4) This is NOT a high hold product, all throughout the description they claim it's high hold and it says medium hold on the product! For $27 dollars that beyond misleading! 5) There is a review on Amazon of someone claiming that this product made there scalp itch really bad, and this is what I noticed. Right now it's the winter, which I strongly believe this is a winter product although the person who claimed their scalp was itching didn't say what the weather was. I used this product to go out into the city in the cold and there was no itching at all. But the minute I'm in the kitchen and it's hot, I was itching a lot. 6) After 3 Days of using it, my hair started to dry out, and for someone who father time is starting to pluck away hair follicles I can't afford to have my hair or scalp dry in any way. With that said, I respect the fact that this is an all natural product, I respect the ingredients they use, they have a great marketing team to make them seem to be a high end or premium product, but it falls very short on their claim.
