Godsend!
Godsend! Worked for my purposes and the price was right as well. Used this (and other tools) for accessing the 4 digit PIN code on a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country that I needed to program new keys for.

Works great
Worked perfectly, it's a shame the drivers don't work on ARM64 though.

Worked for bios recovery on an unlisted MX25L12873F chip
bought this CH341A programmer kit to recover/reflash the bios on an MSI laptop that I picked up as a repair project. The laptop still powered on, but the bios setup was locked, so I wanted to make a verified dump of the SPI flash and reprogram it with the correct official bios image. My chip was a Macronix MX25L12873F, which 1 did not see specifically listed on the included 25-series support chart, but the programmer still worked correctly with it. The chip was detected through flashrom under the compatible Macronix profile, and I was able to read the full 16mb bios image, make multiple matching dumps, write the replacement image, and verify it successfully. The SOIC& clip also worked well enough once I had it aligned correctly. As with all bios/SPI work, the connection has to be solid. I had the laptop fully disconnected from AC power, main battery, and CMOS battery before attaching the clip. After reading the chip multiple times and confirming matching hashes, I flashed the official MSI bios image and the laptop booted successfully afterward with access restored A few notes for anyone buying this for bios repair: Make sure your chip voltage is correct before connecting anything. My chip was a 3.3 V SPI flash chip, not 1.8 V. Also, do not skip the backup step (trust me). Read the chip more than once and verify that the dumps match before writing anything. The included adapter/clip is useful, but the process still requires care, patience, and the right software. Overall, this kit did exactly what I needed. It worked on my MX25L12873F even though that exact chip was not listed and it saved this laptop from becoming an expensive paperweight. Good value for anyone doing bios recovery, EEPROM/SPI flashing, or board-level tinkering/repair work.

Works.
It works. There is a lot of misinformation on the internet regarding the data line voltage being too high but I have not experienced any issues. The amperage is not high enough to damage anything unless you were to use this on the SAME chip repeatedly for long periods. The danger is from cumulative wear on the SAME chip. I'm taking away one star because of a flimsy retention bar that falls out all the time. Apparently there is a QC problem.

Good Product! Gamer Approved!
I bought this to try recovering a corrupted motherboard BIOS. The kit gives you pretty much everything you need to get started, including the CH341A programmer, SOIC8 clip, adapters, and a 1.8V adapter, so for the price it’s a decent package if you want to experiment with EEPROM/BIOS programming. Unfortunately, it didn’t really work out for my particular repair. I was attempting to program the BIOS chip while it was still soldered to the motherboard, and despite repeatedly reseating the clip, checking the connection, verifying the correct voltage, and trying different programming software, I was never able to get a reliable read/write from the chip. I don’t necessarily think that means the programmer itself is bad. Programming chips in-circuit can be very hit or miss depending on the motherboard and surrounding circuitry, and my particular BIOS chip may simply have required being removed from the board. My biggest complaint is that this type of kit really isn’t very beginner-friendly. Documentation is limited, the included hardware can be a little finicky, and you should expect to do quite a bit of research yourself before using it. Still a useful and inexpensive tool to have around if you work on electronics, but I wouldn’t expect it to magically recover every BIOS chip without some troubleshooting.

1 Star – Completely Non-Functional. Waste of Time.
This CH341A programmer arrived looking fine, but it was totally dead on arrival. Tried it on two separate PCs, multiple USB ports, correct drivers, and multiple flashing tools (AsProgrammer, CH341A Programmer v1.34) — nothing worked. The system wouldn’t detect it, and every flashing app returned a “Device Not Connected” or “CH347(-1)” error, which means the programmer itself isn’t initializing at all. I even tested it without the SOIC8 clip connected to rule out shorting issues — still nothing. LED lights up, but it doesn’t communicate at all. Based on how many forums mention this same problem, it looks like this seller has serious quality control issues. Don’t waste your time like I did. Look for a better-reviewed CH341A kit or spend a little more for one with proven reliability.

Cheap. Clip doesn't connect properly
The clip doesn't sit flush with any chips, so the usb programmer doesn't recognize anything that is connected to it. The programmer works as intended, and so do the included cables, but you need to buy a better clip

Me funciono perfecto
