Individual sheets of paper (like notebook or copy paper) often get mangled. I often print on plain copy paper before laminating, and the QIQQIKIN struggles with this. Cutting the laminate itself does fine. Thickness / hardness are factors; too thin or too soft and the punch will struggle. Also, there is no bottom to catch the cut corners. This is fine for a dedicated crafting space or a lengthy project, but I have a similar punch (Sunstar Kadomaru Pro, Corner Cutter S4765036) with a detachable base that catches the cuttings - far superior for daily use on a desk. If you're going to buy a punch to cut corners off a stack of cardstock invitations, get this one. For daily projects, look at the Kadomaru.
