I've tried several of these USB-C dongles. This one has two major advantages over most others: 1) most dongles have a very short cord. It's too easy for the connection to come loose, and the weight of all the cables connected to the dongle can stress the USB-C port, eventually causing it to fail. 2) PD pass through. This is especially important for Macbook Air, since you would normally need to use both ports, one for power and one for the dongle. That doesn't leave room for any other devices.

I've had this for several years now and it has never let me down. I've used it to backup SD cards (and CF cards via a USB-A reader), PowerPoint presentations via HDMI, and the USB-A receiver for my PowerPoint remote works as well. I've used it with the otherwise wonderful Macbook 12" which has only one port, or with an iPad Mini. And it does all these things with power-through, so no risk of running out of battery during a backup or a presentation. Previously, I had been using OWC travel hubs which are metal, work exactly the same but weigh twice as much. It feels flimsy but for me it has worked perfectly. Because of the light weight and low price, I bought a second one but I've never needed it.

I got this for my new laptop to replace my desktop. I needed to run my dual monitor setup with only one hdmi port, so I got this to be able to use both. It worked ok from the start. They would only work if I had them plugged into a specific port, they wouldn't work if I switched them. Day 2 I got to boot up and they screens flick on before going blank. The computer is still registering them but nothing is actually showing up on my monitors. I played around with it, had my husband play around with it. We tried with 3 computers. Nothing. The usb ports still work but the HDMI ports do not. So all it all, it is a completely useless waist of time and money!

Perfect for my home office. Just know you cannot docker two monitors into this one station. It won't extend across a laptop and two monitors unless the monitors unless they are in seperate docking stations.

Got this to go with my onn TV box. It has places to add everything I needed to use for additional space in my device. I was able to have a micro SD and I was able to add an external hard drive too. Great product at a great price!!

I have an iPad 10th gen (2022) that I take with me pretty much everywhere to use for notes, excel sheets, internet browsing, streaming, and even light gaming. There’s often been times I’ve been streaming something and have others around me but the screen just isn’t great to have pushed further back to allow everyone to watch so I wanted to get something that would allow me to connect to a TV or larger monitor. A normal USB-C to HDMI cable would work fine but does not allow you to charge at the same time if needed, this hub fixes that. Worked perfectly out of the box, was able to connect it to a monitor to view on a larger scale as well as charge the iPad at the same time which is exactly what I needed it for. All in all, couldn’t be happier and I highly recommend it if you’re needing it for the same reason. Can’t attest to its durability and lifespan yet but will update if it fails on me within a short timeframe.

Works seamlessly on my MAC mini. Have me the extra ports I needed.

Its been less than a year and its already not reading or picking up my double screen. When i first plug it in it works and then blacks out and reflects the same thing on both monitors. I purchased it to be able to use 2 screens for my laptop.
