This stuff is fantastic, also called 'friars balsam' this is better & cheaper. Used it in the military for 26 years to treat blisters. Doing the Pennine way next month, so stocking up, blisters are a certainty. This stuff will sort you right out, if you inject it into the blister. I mix this stuff with surgical spirit & iodine in a small plastic bottle. Get some cheap syringes & blunt needles, all available on here, inject into blister, scream for 10 minutes. Apply moleskin, duck tape & foot powder, dry your eyes & tab on....Miracle cure.

I have a different use for this product... To stop my glasses sliding down my nose. Benzoin Tincture is the stuff which doctors place on wet skin to get steristrips (butterfly stitches) to stick down reliably. It leaves a dry, but slightly sticky residue which I find is perfect for keeping my glasses in place. I put the tincture on the 'temple tips' - the bits of the glasses which go behind the ears, and it seems to work well. You might also consider putting it on the bridge of the nose, but I don't find that necessary. Perhaps this snippet of information would be useful to someone else out there.

To be honest having tried this for several days I found it good on initial application but quickly loses its effectiveness. Really can't decide if it was worth it.

Wonderful for keeping trainer socks in place on your heels. Turn to mix well, a couple of drops in the palm of your hand, rub both palms together & dab both palms on your heels & lower heels. Allow a minute to dry, pop on your socks & trainers & that's it until you take them off.

Taping toes and feet when you have blisters etc can often be problematic as the tape comes loose too easily, particularly when you sweat. Tincture of Benzoin makes your skin extremely sticky so the tape adheres better. It also has a light antiseptic action. Product arrived quickly to Ireland from UK and has worked brilliantly.

I use this to keep my glasses in place. You just need a little but on the nose pads. The smell is quite pleasant, which is a plus. Really good value, will last a very long time.

The title of my review may sound misleading but.. I suffer from chronic blistering on my feet & have yet to fathom why. However if you gently syringe out the fluid & inject this you will definitely & quickly ease the discomfort of the blisters. That said it is extremely painful for a few minutes & the military have given the process a name..'The Hot Shot'. Try it grit your teeth and suffer no more 🥺.

I applied the liquid with a Qtip to my heel before playing pickle ball or exercising. No longer needed a bandaid. Doctor recommended this product for me when nothing else helped.
