Was not sure what to expect when ordering the pilot fish neoprene eyewear retainer but put it to use right away on the river. I use this on a pair of Ray-Ban wayfarers and it fit perfectly. The idea is to snuggly fit over the ends of the sunglasses ear tips until they extend out. The retainer leaves just enough room to take the sunglasses off and put them back on or hang on your neck without excessive length. This particular model does keep the sunglasses afloat for a brief time, but depending on the weight they will and can sink rather slowly. So if the object is to give you some time to react in case they do fall off, which is very difficult to occur… And this is the item you need! Pilot fish makes another model that is more buoyant if you need something that will not sink at all, but is larger in size. Overall, the quality, color and stitching along with the cool logo was better than expected. I would definitely buy another one in a different color way.

They start to sink after a while. Wouldn’t trust an expensive pair of glasses on it.

These definitely float. They hold up my oakleys just fine. They are hard to get over the ear socks. I also wish they were adjustable. I've lost multiple sunglasses in a lake jetskiing even with a strap because they didn't float. I would feel better if these were tighter on my face. I'm happy they float so 4/5☆

Keep glasses tight on face for waterfowl hunting. I love the earth tone colors. These are usually a high visibility color. Great product.

Looks and works great

For starters, this strap isn’t long enough to take glasses on and off and isn’t adjustable, so the only way to get your glasses on and off is to first remove the strap. But that’s a minor issue compared to the fact that the strap doesn’t hold on to your temples AT ALL!!! WAAAYYY too loose to be effective. And don’t you know it, the second time that I used them I got hit by a wave, strap fell off the glasses and off they went into the ocean. So much for my $400 prescription Oakley’s. Please do yourself a favor and don’t make the same mistake!

Over time my frames for my glasses tend to get loose, even after tightening the screws. So this thing helps keeps the glasses in place. Don't need to worry about them slipping off.
