I bought this to split tiny pills which have been prescribed as half a tablet per day. After trying to break them in two with a sharp knife, which resulted in not much more than bits and powder, I decided to give this a go, choosing the inky blue colour option. The shell is made of hard, transparent plastic, with a silicone interior to secure the tablet within its V-shaped section, ready for the chop. This helps to prevent the pill from shifting away from the blade as it makes contact. The result is excellent: about as close to a 50–50 split as you could hope for, with practically zero effort, and negligible powder debris from the breakage (see attached video). This is important in my case, as I’m not splitting them for ease of swallowing, but to follow the doctor’s orders of precisely half a pill dosage. The cutter is a sharp metal, razor-type blade, fitted under the lid, which hinges open at one end, functioning as a guillotine when closed, and clicks shut to store tablets as well. The underside has a bonus storage compartment, opened by sliding the plastic case outward until it clicks, and reversed to click closed again. It’s large enough to contain quite a few tablets, depending on their size. All good so far. Overall, this is an excellent little device, which actually performs better than I expected. Combined with the fairly nominal cost, this has proved quite an essential item in my case, and surely worth it as a general good-to-have addition to the medicine cupboard. Brilliant portable pill cutter, easy to use with the graduated silicone holder section & slices even small 25mg pill cleanly in two. Easy to wash & ideal for keeping in a bag when out for the day or for travelling. Great value for money.

È un accessorio semplice ma estremamente utile, soprattutto per chi ha necessità di dividere pillole in modo regolare e sicuro, che siano per anziani, bambini o animali domestici. La lama è affilata e precisa, taglia senza sforzo anche le pillole più dure, grandi o piccole, senza sbriciolarle. La struttura è compatta e leggera, perfetta da portare in viaggio o tenere nella borsa. Il vano interno mantiene la pillola ferma durante il taglio, evitando che scivoli o si muova.
