What an incredible book! I expected it was going to be good based on the reviews and recommendations among other chicken owners/experts and beginners like myself. First of all, I can’t believe I caught this on sale for the price I paid (at time of review it was 64% off I believe) but this book is worth the full price it was listed at! Front to back cover this book is amazing..the illustrations alone are so vivid & gorgeous and the pages are thick & glossy as well as providing an abundance of information! Anything and everything you want and need to know..even things you didn’t realized you wanted or needed to know are provided in the over 400 pages! I don’t often give 5 star reviews anymore but this one deserves it and more! From the cover, binding, pages, illustrations and information…excellent quality. The authors, editors and illustrators done a remarkable job! I will enjoy and learn from this book for years to come. Whether you’re a beginner in your backyard chicken journey or a seasoned expert I believe we all can benefit from having this in our arsenal. Absolutely recommend.

This book is awesome. We recently got chickens this past year not knowing much about them and purchase this book a few weeks later our kids love looking at the pictures of the chickens that we have and learning more about new chickens. This book is very helpful and identifying different types of chickens, and how they may act with your family if you have small children. Also, as well as give great information that you might not have known before.

Although I don't have chickens yet, I plan to get some in the near future. This book has some good information.

I'm planning on getting a small flock of chickens this year, for fresh eggs. I honestly didn't know anything about raising chickens before I bought this book! When researching books, I looked at the Table of Contents, and read all of the reviews. I found this book to include all the information I needed. I am very happy to have all the information in one book! It is very helpful to all people who have, or thinking about raising chickens!

This book tells you about the various breeds of chickens available. I wouldn’t say all the breeds are in there, but you get a really good idea of what information you might be looking for. It is convenient to have it in book form versus only on your phone
