Best Consumer Face and Lung Protection
First off lets be clear about this - when Trend say this is a 'Pro' item they may be stretching the point a little because heavy duty does not immediately spring to mind here and I would imagine that abuse will quickly render this item DOA. Materials and construction are nothing better than okay with a slightly irritating headband adjuster that seems to need resetting each time I use the mask. Battery life is enough for a days on and off use and it will charge overnight fine. The battery is not a LiOn one as far as I can tell so will have a memory and won't last for years. It is designed to fit this mask specifically so not sure what I'll do when it dies but as an electro-mechanical engineer I'll sort something out. This all sounds a bit negative - which it is - however the mask regains it's five star rating because it works and as long as I continue to treat it with respect I don't expect it to get broken. Anyway, as I said it works. When fitted it is comfortable despite being fairly weighty and the face seal works easily and well. In use the air supply is plentiful and working in full blast of a router and my saw bench was in no way difficult with as far as I could tell zero dust and a clear view of my work. In the end this mask does what it is supposed to do and that is to protect my lungs and eyes better than any other mask I've used. For that I can forgive the slight niggles.

Great face shield
Purchased this one for a couple of reasons. 1. I wear glasses and am fed up with them steaming up 2. I have a long beard. Once the battery had charged for 24 hours I put it to the test and wasn't disappointed. My beard fits up inside and secondly my glasses didn't steam up at all. When it's on I don't feel claustrophobic at all and the adjustment at the back means a good fit. It's very well made as you'd expect from Trend. I Purchased an additional battery and the remote charger at the same time so I'll always have a fully charged battery. One very minor gripe, it says it comes with a storage bag. For the price I was expecting a good quality bag to keep it in. What you get is basically a plastic carrier bag that has a draw string. Luckily enough I have a spare motorcycle crash helmet bag I can use to store it. As I said just a minor gripe but overall very pleased with it.

Worthwhile product
This product is as described. I've been using it for woodworking purposes for some weeks now and it performs well. It is a little heavy on the head, but the amount of dust it stops being inhaled is amazing. Battery life is as described and easily lasts a day of hard work! One observation is that when working in cold conditions, the air being blown across the face is very cool! I had to stop after 30 mins on a particularly cold day and let my face warm up! However this is not a fault of the mask, just the UK weather. Overall, build quality is good, and as long as it is looked after, should last a long while.

Fabulous safety visor
Yes you hear the fan but what a great device, view is great and the cool air across the face makes it easy to work in dusty conditions- I’m chasing out for a rewire in period house - works so well

The attached ear protectors make noise worse
I use this face protector on and off a few days per week. It's a big, heavy, thing but quite comfortable for all that. Once you've had it on for a while you get used to it though. The one issue that I have is that the built in ear defenders actually amplify the noise of the fan in the airshield. It feels as though the noise reverberates through the helmet and into the plastic cones of the ear pieces. I've taken mine off now and gone back to wearing my peltor defenders, which just about fit if rested upside down under the helmet. This is a real design flaw. Update: I communicate the above issue of noise transfer to Trend and I may as well have told next door's cat. Not interested and no suggestion for fixing the issue (which they said was a new one to them.....if they'd read the other reviews on Amazon they'd have seen it was a well communicated issue). I ended up buying some in ear defenders, which aren't fantastic but certainly don't transmit the sound like the built-in ones do.

Great piece of kit
I wear this in my workshop when sanding and woodturning. I find it brilliant as I wear glasses that usually steam up with normal mouth/nose masks. Yes, there is some noise from the fan on your head but I find the sander makes more of a din! The ventilator protects my lungs and eyes and I find the air flow across my face quite comforting. The battery last ages, I haven't managed to run it out yet. I consider this to be a good investment.

Not worth the money
Yes it works but when I needed to change the actual visor (at £ 37.00 ) the replacement visors holes didn’t quite match up with the visor including the grove above you eyes to hold the visor to the helmet. I sent it back and bought another one and guess what same problem again had to make holes bigger and the front where the groove is won’t hold the visor in place…..useless ! So its ok until you need to change things then you realise it’s a bad design and you’ve used it so you can’t send it back…NO WAY WORTH £363.00 would never recommend to anyone look for something else

The earmuffs are held on by plastic clips which are too flexible to hold their shape. Every time I use the helmet they fall off and of course you can’t use other earmuffs with this helmet on. I will probably be able to fix it by making some wedges and gluing them in. When it arrived I charged the battery for 24 hours or more but only got 6 minutes of use when an alarm started beeping (who knew it had an alarm?). The visor and the clear protective visor over it ($50 AUD for a pack of 10) pick up reflections of everything in the shop because of the four surfaces in front of your eyes. The airflow seemed quite good before the battery died. If I ever use it again I will write another review.

While all sawdust is nasty and to be avoided, I work with a particularly carcinogenic Tasmanian timber, so good protection is essential. I have used the more expensive 3M respirators and there is no doubt they are excellent. But as a hobbyist, I had to find something more affordable. This respirator is excellent value for money. I don't know if it would compare to the 3M models if I was using it all day every day, but I sometimes will use mine several times a week while I'm working on a project and then it will sit idle for a couple of months as I have to go do a "real" job. It holds its charge very well and does everything it is supposed to, to a high standard. I have a beard and the respirator seals without a problem.

For me, the main reason to buy it was to improve air quality during woodworking including sanding. It works fine. I was looking for a light helmet style to include a face shield allowing the use of reading glasses and ears protection. It is both. This device works with the aid of a small battery powered fan, the noise of the fan alone demands the use of some ears protection. There is a set made specifically for this helmet and I bought them too. It takes a time to get used to the extra weight and size of your new head , particularly if your workshop is small and crowded. There are a couple of almost cosmetic things that I do not like: 1) The acrylic face shield came with a protective plastic film glued to it, still I have not find what solvent need to be used to remove the remainings of glue. I tried soap, alcohol, W40, oil. 2) The head enclosure is sealed with a flexible plastic/vinyl to seal around your mouth and sides; I found this material kind of light, not sure how long will last the frequent pulling and tearing. The batteries charge last for about 6-8 hours of use; the charger is included. I leave it to recharge overnight, for more frequent use probably a quick replacement battery pack would be a good option. I hope this helps.
