Best tasting easy to use lower sodium dashi
This dashi makes traditional miso soup that tastes authentic. You can regulate the saltiness of your soup by controlling the amount of miso you add since the dashi salt content is not high. This dashi is also convenient, because it comes in little paper like tea bags so it is easy to remove once your hot water reaches the desired flavor. I add tofu chunks, dried wakeme seaweed and sometimes small vegetables like daikon radish & strips of napa cabbage. I no longer order miso soup in a restaurant because homemade soup with this dashi stock tastes so much better. I buy the 12 serving size. It lasts me quite a while. I am on my second order.

Dynamic Flavor
This is delicious. Just what I was hoping for. Dynamic flavor and convenient packaging. I still cold brew fresh kombu stock to mix with the powder for dashi. I personally feel this boost nutrition and flavor. Like the photos suggest even sprinkling it dry onto rice or in noodles is delicious. Way better than bonito flakes alone. Very impressive quality and taste. The value is worth the price in my opinion. One pouch will feed about four people for one light serving. One cup of water/or Kombu stock to one fourth of a pouch of powder. I boil the water or any type of stock, remove from the heat, then add the powder. Over cooking anything with dried fish can give a burnt taste so add it last kind of like finishing salt. I personally like the added texture of adding it directly to dishes. You get a more pungent flavor this way. If using strictly for clear stock I would double the ratio of powder per serving. Thus being one punch of powder will yield two servings of clear broth.

Easy cooking.
Highly recommended Japanese soup base! This soup is very easy to cook and has a clean, naturally sweet flavor. The taste is light and balanced, not salty or overpowering, making it perfect for vegetable soups. It brings out the natural sweetness of vegetables and feels very comforting and healthy. Great for quick meals, especially if you want something warm, simple, and nourishing. I will definitely buy it again.

Great flavor!
Not the cheapest dashi on the market but it is extremely flavorful and worth the price if youโre looking to have that strong umami taste.

Superb Stock Powder
Makes a very tasty broth. I use it for both Asian and American recipes. Makes a great foundation for seafood bisques and chowders. Due to the cost I reserve the packets for special recipes.

New Favorite Go-to Dashi
Great tasting dashi! Love how it is not overpowering but adds so much depth and umami to the soups that I've tried it in. My friend who also enjoys cooking as a hobby recommended this dashi to me. He told me he used it to make Korean Galbi Tang and his family loved it! There are definitely less expensive alternatives which may be fine for quick and easy soups, but if you're taking over an hour to make something great and want to impress, then go with the good stuff.
