This is THE BEST product you will ever purchase for your athlete. I know because it changes my life, and I’m not exaggerating. Here’s how this went down. When I say that my son’s soccer cleats smelled like death, I mean we once tore the laundry room apart looking for the rodent we assumed had died, only to discover that he had started putting his cleats on the shoe rack in there and the smell was coming from them. It was a mix between rotting flesh and cat spray and it once made a pregnant woman vomit. (It was me. I was the pregnant woman.) We could even smell them when they were on his feet! There were many frustrating evening of family members being disgusted with the stinky cleats and him being bummed because he was doing everything he could to mitigate the stench. Ultimately, his cleats had to be kept out in the corner of the garage. New cleats only smelled ok for the first two weeks because he was practicing/playing in them about 25 hours a week. For years we tried deodorizing sprays, odor eater balls, special bags, fans, etc. His feet and other shoes DO NOT stink; just the cleats. I had resorted to soaking them in beach every couple of weeks just to survive the stench. Then I found these deodorizer bags. *And my life changed.* It probably took two days for them to COMPLETELY eliminate the stench. And by ”two days” I mean he put them in at night after practice and took them out the next day to practice, X2. And *poof.* The smell was just GONE. These bags don't just cover it up. They completely remove the stench. There’s no mixing of the smell of death and the smell of deodorizers, which is what usually happened with the sprays and “smelly balls,” as we call them. They do have a faint smell of chlorine, which you can really only smell if you sniff directly into the shoe (which I can do now with NO TRACE of stench), or if the bags and the shoes are enclosed in his soccer bag overnight. It isn’t overpowering. Just slightly noticeable on occasion. He’s been using the same deodorizer bag in each shoe for months and they smell as fresh and nice as brand new cleats! I’ve purchased another pair for my younger son as well, plus some extras to store away in case someone discovers this amazing product and destroys the company to make us all suffer with the stench and the far inferior alternative deodorizers. This is the closest thing to a miracle I’ve ever personally witnessed. This is undoubtedly the most impressive, useful, and functional product I’ve ever bought from Amazon (or at all) for my athlete, and I honestly can’t think if any other product I’ve ever purchased that lives up to its design or intended purpose as well as this one does. I will never stop suggesting these deodorizer bags to other athlete families. Bonus, it’s ridiculously cheap and works longer than even advertised, which is amazing when you’re already paying an arm and a leg for fees and equipment. If you also suffer from the stench of an athlete’s cleats, I highly suggest you order a pack of these and PUT AN END TO YOUR SUFFERING!

I love these! I use them for much more than shoe inserts. But let's talk about that. After a run, I put one in each of my running shoes and the next time I pull them out, my shoes smell clean, fresh and are nice and dry. Honestly, my feet don't sweat a lot when I run because I wear good socks. But I also have a pair of old, lined Crocs I clean the house with, usually without socks on, and when I'm done I put these in and it leaves these Crocs odor free and ready to wear again. Other uses? I also put one of these in my coat closet on the top shelf, and it takes the odors out of the air in my stuffy coat closet! When you open the door to grab a jacket, there is a clean (faint odor of bleach) smell instead of body odors. Same for my vacuum cleaner closet. There are 3 dogs in my house, and my vacuum cleaners often smell like dirty dog hair...but that closet doesn't! Not when I keep one of these deodorizers in there! I use 2 in my large walk-in closet in my bedroom, and I drop one in the sliding cabinet tray that holds my kitchen trash. These are great in a laundry room, anywhere you have odors you don't want! Some complain they smell like bleach, but the "bleachy" smell is faint, and it lends itself to making the area you use these seem fresher, so I don't mind it. Other than that, I find them to be basically odorless and they definitely remove stinky, stale odors from my shoes, the air and help keep my home smelling clean and fresh. Mine have lasted around 2 months or so, then the strength starts to wane, and I will usually begin replacing them. The ones in my shoes last a little longer, more like 3-4 months. I'm very happy with these!

After months of dealing with unpleasant smells in my volleyball shoes, I finally decided to try this, and I’m impressed with the results. The good news: It effectively eliminates odor rather than just masking it. Within a few days of using it, the my nasty feet smell was completely gone. My shoes feel fresher, and there’s no lingering unpleasantness. However, there’s a catch which was the initial scent. For the first few days, expect a strong chlorine-like smell. It’s noticeable and might remind you of a swimming pool, but thankfully, it fades after about a week or two. It’s a temporary downside, but in my opinion, it's worth it for the long-term freshness. This is my first purchase of this so I'm not sure when the time is to replace with another pair but I'm about 2 months in for using it. If you’re looking for a powerful odor remover, this is a solid option. Just be prepared for the brief chlorine phase before your shoes smell completely fresh again!

I purchased 2-pack of these deodorizer bags, and I’m honestly so impressed that I just ordered the 4-pack too! One of the best things about them is that the bags last up to 6 months with constant use, which makes them an excellent value. I have a size 6 shoe and afternwearing them for a day, I let them dry out for 24 hours, then placed one bag in each shoe and stored them in my shoe organizer with the lid zipped closed overnight. The next day, I noticed a slight chlorine-like scent, which I later learned is completely normal which means they’re working. What I really love is that you can leave these in your shoes all the time. When you’re not using them, you just place them in a plastic bag, remove the air, and zip it shut to help preserve them or you can throw them in your closet. There’s so much versatility with what you can do with them and they’re perfect white little packets that are perfect size. Best of all, I no longer have to use shoe powders! The powders were messy and eventually ruined some of my shoes, but these bags are natural, clean, simple, and work so much better. Highly recommend!

Short and sweet: THEY WORK!! I'll start out by prefacing with some details. I am a late 20s male who has always been plauged with sweaty feet. This results in my shoes accumulating "the stank" that we are all so familiar with. This has been an embarrassment all through my adolescene and into adulthood. I've been able to manage the problem with certain products like Carpe Antiperspirant lotions (highly recommend if you have sweaty feet. It's life changing.) and a shoe dryer (another absolutely necessary purchase) shoe smell accumulates overtime the most from sweat being left in your shoes and then you wearing them again before they have fully dried out. While these products and routines have helped to mitigate the issue, overtime my shoes will still accumulate "the stank" I currently work as an Amazon delivery driver so even with drying my shoes every night and using the regiment I created to reduce odor and sweat there just isn't enough I can do when I'm wearing my shoes for sometimes 11 hours straight. Instead of submitting to a life of buying new shoes every 2 months and bringing multiple pairs to work everyday or buying can after can of useless sprays that just mask the scent or create a new even worse concoction, I found these little bags. I read the reviews and I thought surely they aren't as good as people are proclaiming them to be... I was shocked with the results. I put one bag into each of my shoes and tied them up in a shopping bag. After 24 hours the entire aura of smell around the shoes was completely gone. Not just masked over with another scent, GONE. There was the faintest remnant of stank if I smelled directly into the top of the shoe, so I left them again for another 24 hours and as I returned to them the second day there was 0 detectable stank at all. These smell like a pool house. It's chlorine of some sort and whatever it is it's seriously magical. Now instead of buying a new pair of $80+ shoes every 2 months I can just buy a new bag of these odor elimination black magic pouches!!!

Giving these 3 stars only because of durability. They get 5 stars for how well they work though. I got these on Saturday, threw them in my smelliest shoes that I wore the whole day that these deodorizers showed up, and by Sunday morning there was zero smell other than the deodorizers themselves. It was incredible and I was ready to recommend them to everybody. Although, I switched the deodorizers from one pair of shoes to another on Sunday evening and just this morning (Monday), I go to pull them out and move them to another pair and when pulling one of the packs out, I noticed it was open and there was all the contents of the package (like cat litter) spilling into my boots. I handled them carefully and they only were taken out of the package and moved twice afterwards. I would have been weary that I did something to cause the rip, except this A) happened within 2 days of owning them and I remember every instance of handling them (and I did so gently due to recognizing that it was a thin fabric holding the deodorizer stuff inside), and B) the tear happened cleanly along the seam (pictures included). Other than that, these things worked insanely good! If the chlorine-like scent bothers people, I could see that being an issue but it’s not a scent that radiates, it’s just there. I never smelled it unless directly putting my nose up to the shoe or the packs, and it wasn’t a smell that stuck to my socks afterwards, so don't worry about walking around smelling like the pool at your local YMCA. Really disappointed with the 2-day use as these worked amazingly otherwise. I would highly suggest a more robust seam to ensure these don’t split as easily. You can’t do much to mitigate tears from mishandling or aggressive handling by the user, but this 100% was a flaw in the manufacturing process.

These are legit. My sneakers started to smell after a week-long work trip where we walked 15k+ steps a day. To the point where they would start to make my new socks stink if I even wore the shoes for less than 5 minutes. After I used these overnight for the first time, the smell went away, and they have this pleasant "just washed/sanitized bleach" smell after wearing them all day, almost like my socks just came out of the wash. I also put two of them in my baby's diaper pail. The smell used to be terrible and would make the closet where we keep it stink for days even after replacing the bag. I noticed after a few hours of adding these, that the smell was barely noticeable, even with a full bag of used diapers!

I got the first one close to 3 months ago to check if it works and trust me this kills the smell of stinky shoes. I have sweaty feet and this really helped to keep the shoes smelling fresh. I have tried several products but they make the shoe smell funkier. But this deodorizer obliterates the smell and helps the shoe stay fresh. I love these soo much that I think I have bought 5 of them to date.

Works well. Appears to be silica gel and the like. Makes sense to dry out shoes.

UPDATE: Its been 3.5 months of using these pouches in my work shoes. They worked incredibly at keeping all scent away. It was only this week that I noticed an unpleasant odor return to my shoes. So I can confirm that these lasted for 3.5 months in my shoes. They are a little pricey but they work so well that I will order another pack. ------------------------- I wear my shoes for 8 hours, 5 days a week for work. My feet would sweat and over time this sweat led to bad smelling shoes. It got to the point where I could smell my own shoes when sitting at my work desk, so I needed a change. I've tried shoe deodorizing sprays and powders, and have used home made deodorizers with baking soda and scent beads. Ive also tried washing my shoes, but the smell always returns in a short period of time. These pouches were a little pricey compared to other things I've tried, so I was hesitant, but I saw all the positive reviews and gave it a try. I have been using these in my work shoes for 3 weeks. They have COMPLETELY resolved my stinky shoe problem. I put them in my work shoes after my work day and leave them there until the next morning. During my work day, the pouches are switched to my outside shoes. Both do not stink! So that's a good value that it can be swapped between multiple pairs. I would highly recommend these for stinky shoes. Some people complain about a chlorine smell. I've had a pool for many years of my life and you get used to that smell. These pouches smell nowhere close to the strength of pool chlorine. The scent is really mild and does not bother me at all.

These are crazy effective! I used them with my running and cycling shoes on a month-long endurance riding trip in a steamy climate. Similar trips left my shoes unusable – using these overnight daily made an amazing difference. No odor and no dampness. I will buy another pair to use regularly at home too.
