Robot Window Cleaner
Having had a positive experience with the floor vacuum and mopper from the same company, I decided to invest in their robot window cleaner. Here’s my detailed experience with the product: Initial Experience: My first unit, unfortunately, had some issues and never worked despite my efforts to troubleshoot for 30 minutes. This was disappointing, but I decided to give it another shot and ordered a second unit. Second Unit and Setup: The second unit arrived the next day. I carefully removed just the robot cleaner from the box and it worked immediately. Since everything else in the box was undisturbed, I repacked the first unit, initiated a return, and explained the issue. The return process was straightforward and hassle-free. Performance: I have a lot of windows in my home, many of which hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. This little robot got to work right away and performed admirably. The cleaner is simple to use, requiring only that you move it from window to window. I found it convenient to work on other tasks that I could pause frequently while the robot cleaned each window. Efficiency and Effectiveness: The robot window cleaner does a fantastic job, leaving the windows spotless. It has significantly reduced the time and effort I used to spend on window cleaning. The ease of use and effectiveness make it a standout product. Overall Satisfaction: Despite the initial hiccup with the first unit, I am very pleased with my purchase. The second unit works flawlessly, and the convenience it provides is invaluable. This robot window cleaner has become an essential tool in maintaining my home, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. Conclusion: If you’re looking for a reliable and efficient way to clean your windows, this robot window cleaner is an excellent choice. It’s simple to use, does a great job, and allows you to multitask while it works. I highly recommend it, especially if you have numerous windows that need regular cleaning.

Stay away even they gave this away for free.
The product looks neat and does the job but only for a limited time of use. The unit I bought, I have used it a couple of times then was put back in its bag. After a year or so when I took it out to use it again, noticed that the battery would not hold charge which means the unit is unusable. I was not alarmed at first thinking that Ecovacs would replace the battery since it should not be a big issue for them, but I was wrong as they have swiftly evaded and refused to help pointing out that 1-year limited warranty was just over. Doing a quick search around shows similar complaints all over. Probably this was a faulty or a poor-quality selection of parts when they designed the product. The battery is custom and is connected to power cord and cannot be easily replaced by the user. For me this Ecovacs experience was just like throwing 350$ in the garbage.

My Windows are Finally Clean!
I got this as there are a couple of near impossible to clean windows in my house. (The house dangles over a ravine, so getting the outside of the ravine facing windows is...not very doable for those who value their lives.) Over time, they've gotten pretty grimy, so I got this, hoping it would work. And it did! The machine is pretty easy to use. Charge it a bit (it has an extra battery just in case the main power dies, so it doesn't go flying off a window), plug it in, tie it's teather to something, then stick it on a window and hit the on button. Then off it goes, rolling across the window and cleaning everything in its path. So easy to use and a great gizmo if you have hard (or impossible) to clean windows. I did knock off a star as the machine seems to get "confused" a lot and sort of not clean the entire window. This isn't a huge problem as I was able to just run it again, but kind of annoying. It also sometimes "lost suction power" and refused to move (at which point I had to haul it across the window by tugging on its tether and power cord), and it also sometimes refused to return to its starting point for some reason (which again necessitated me dragging it over). It also annoyingly kept bugging me to install its app...even after I'd done so. (Why, machine, why?) But it ran without it being installed so....IDK. But it works. Crazy as it seems, it really works. My windows now are clean, which is something I never thought I'd be able to do. So very much recommended if you have hard/impossible to clean windows. This little gadget does what it says it'll do.

good window robot vacuum
This thing is incredible! We have almost completely stopped manually vacuuming since this companion entered our home. We only use a manual vacuum to touch up our floors on occasion, such as around the edges of the floor, in hard to reach areas that the robot vacuum cannot reach/fit into, or if we break something that requires immediate attention, such as a glass. Despite this, we rarely vacuum by hand. The ECOVACS Winbot W1 Pro Window Cleaning Robot is a specialized robotic device designed for cleaning windows. It incorporates advanced technology to automate and simplify the window cleaning process. Window Cleaning Robot: The Winbot W1 Pro is specifically designed to clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors, making it a handy tool for maintaining a clean and clear view. Dual Cross Water Spray Technology: This technology involves two spray nozzles that dispense water or cleaning solution on the glass while cleaning. This method helps to loosen dirt and grime for effective cleaning. Win SLAM 3.0 Path Planning: Winbot W1 Pro employs the Win SLAM 3.0 (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) technology to plan its cleaning path and navigate around the window. This allows it to clean the entire surface methodically and efficiently. 2800Pa Suction Power: The robot features a strong suction power of 2800Pa to keep it securely attached to the glass surface while cleaning, ensuring it doesn't fall or detach during operation. Edge Detection Technology: The device is equipped with edge detection sensors that allow it to detect the edges of the window or any obstacles, preventing it from going beyond the window frame or colliding with objects. Intelligent Cleaning: The robot is designed to intelligently clean different types of glass surfaces, including framed and frameless windows, glass doors, and mirrors. Automated Operation: The Winbot W1 Pro is designed for autonomous operation, meaning it can clean windows with minimal user intervention. Users typically set it up, attach it to the window, and let it do the work. App Control: Some models may offer mobile app control, allowing you to initiate and monitor the cleaning process from your smartphone or tablet.

This is junk! Do not buy!
Absolutely — here’s a cleaner, more professional rewrite that keeps your message firm but fair (and easier to take seriously by Amazon/Ecovacs/customer support teams): --- I purchased this item on Christmas Day 2025 and paid nearly $450.00, including two additional sets of pads. Because of the cold weather at the time it arrived, I did not immediately use it to clean windows. I placed it in a closet—still sealed in its original taped box—and unfortunately forgot about it. Last night, while cleaning my house, I found it and opened the box. Since it was still sealed, I was excited to finally use it. I downloaded the iPhone app and followed the setup instructions exactly. However, when attempting to use the unit, it repeatedly displayed the message: **“Please connect to power source.”** The robot was plugged in and had already been charging for several hours. I assumed it might need additional charging, so I left it plugged in overnight. This morning, the issue continued with the same repeated message. I then searched online for help and discovered this appears to be a common issue. Many other customers have reported receiving units that did not work properly right out of the box. I contacted Ecovacs customer service and explained the situation. After troubleshooting, the representative confirmed the robot is defective. However, I was then told Ecovacs would not take responsibility because the product was purchased more than one year ago—even though it is brand new out of the box and clearly defective. I was advised to send it to a third-party repair service at my own expense, which I found extremely disappointing and unhelpful. I understand Amazon has a strict one-year return/exchange policy, and I respect that. That said, I would expect the manufacturer to stand behind its product—especially after confirming it is defective and when this seems to be a known issue affecting other customers. To be clear: I am not asking for a refund. I simply requested a replacement unit that is not defective. Unfortunately, Ecovacs refused. Buyer beware.

Limited functionality and a hassle to use
The cleaning operation (traction, coverage) and results are good, and I don’t mind the operating noise. But it needs to be plugged in to work and also doesn’t start if the battery is low, and doesn’t have any any sort of obstacle avoidance which severely limits it’s function and is a lot of hassle to use.

Game-Changer for Window Cleaning!
I didn’t know I needed a window cleaning robot until I tried the ECOVACS Winbot W1 Pro — now I can’t imagine going back. From the moment I unpacked it, everything felt premium: sturdy build, sleek design, and intuitive setup. What blew me away first was the dual cross water spray — it doesn’t just mist the glass; it gives full coverage for a streak-free finish. The 2800Pa suction power holds it firmly in place, even on large vertical panes, while the edge detection technology means it gets right up to the frame without missing spots. The Win SLAM 3.0 path planning is like having a professional window cleaner who never gets tired. It maps and covers every inch efficiently, and I love being able to control and monitor it from the app while I do other things. I’ve used it on floor-to-ceiling windows, glass balcony panels, and even my shower enclosure — and every time, the glass comes out sparkling like new. No streaks, no drips, and no back-breaking scrubbing. If you value your time, your back, and crystal-clear windows, this is worth every penny. The fact that it’s also oddly satisfying to watch is just a bonus. Final Verdict: This isn’t just a gadget — it’s a lifestyle upgrade. Highly recommend for anyone who wants spotless windows without the hassle.

W1 Pro Known Defect Discovered
I bought the Ecovacs W1 Pro a couple weeks ago. Today, I had time to set it up. After following the instructions for setting it up, the device kept displaying an error that it needed to be plugged in an electrical outlet. Thinking the battery hadn't finished charging, I charged it for at least 5 hours. It kept displaying the same error. Searches on the internet kept bringing up solutions of replacing the battery which seemed to be a complicated process since the factory battery was hardwired in its place. So the battery seemed to be the culprit. I finally called Ecovacs. Here's where I would like to give 5 stars because the Ecovacs customer service department answered promptly and after a short description of the problem, they told me that this was a known manufacture's problem. The Ecovacs company had discontinued the product over three years ago. Customer service was astounded that Amazon was still selling this unit. I can't be certain that every unit will have this problem. And I wish mine was exempt because I really liked this product by its description and model appearance. However, I am displeased that I didn't discover this issue before buying it. Oh, 5 stars for the Amazon return efficiency. 1 star for this product itself and 1 star for Amazon still carrying it for active sale with this known problem.
