Highly recommend these pain patches!
These really work for sore muscles and they are great quality, which I appreciate - Thank you Amazon!. They don't have quite the same amount of menthol as in Absorbines Ultra Strength Large Pain patch that I used to use, but this Amazon patch is slightly thicker and larger in length by 2 inches, so it is probably equal value in the end. These work great as is or cut in half for smaller areas of pain, and they stay in place well, even under most clothes. Highly recommend! Update: I found a few Absorbine Ultra Strength 6.5% Menthol Pain patches in one of my travel bags (they were still good- were not outdated) and they simply DO work better/longer than 5% menthol patches. Biofreeze (5% menthol) pain patches are smaller in size (than either Amazon or Absorbine) and seem thinner - don't seem to stay on as well either, but I will use up the Biofreeze I bought on my shoulders (rather than larger muscles) when needed. Bottom line - I can't find the Absorbine (seems to be out of stock everywhere for some time now), so will definitely stick with Amazon's Pain Patches as my next choice. (I personally stick with just the menthol -a naturally occurring compound vs the many other patches with all the other drugs - [sometimes multiple drugs in one patch]). I do not have any side effects or skin issues from using any of the menthol patches.

Everyone is different
These have a varying satisfactory history with me this all depends on the weather, the temperature how much you sweat, where you are putting the pad and more. If you can use medical tape to hold these in place because they can roll off or become too mushy to work properly. It also depends on where you put these pads (and, oh btw you don't want to apply this and then touch sensitive areas like you eyes or any others sensitive area before you wash your hands. Wash first and diligently before anywhere else. I use them on my neck, arms, legs chest and back. They are NOT perfect for everyone but they do provide some pain relief for me.These have a varying satisfactory history with me this all depends on the weather, the temperature how much you sweat, where you are putting the pad and more. There isn't one perfect tool which will work on everyone. Some may need physical therapy and/or pain relief meds and/or wraps/support devices. I am trying the icy hot roll on product to be more targeting to locations of pain. There are advantages to using the pads and advantages to using the roll on. The pads don't transfer the medication to clothing as the roll on will but when the medication wears off from the pads you just peal it off and wash the area well. There is nothing to throw away with the roll on. The pads require to be kept in a sealed bag so they don't all activate in air and become useless when needed so the roll on gains traction over the pads for transport and use. Having said all that, again, its all personal choice. You might need to try them all and decide if you want/need increased/decreased medical strength of one over the other or which chemical is used for one or the other. Some may have negative reaction to one over the other. You might even need to speak to your physician before you try any of these pads/roll one for me its mostly a question of how bad the pain is on a given day, what activities I will be involved in, the weather and other factors on a daily basis. I will say this again, WATCH WHAT YOU TOCH AFTER HANDLING ANY OF THESE ITEMS AS THEY CAN CAUSE LOCALIZED MEDICAL ISSUES (LIKE GROIN) OR WORSE IF YOU TOUCH ANYWHERE NEAR EYES.

Good alternative to expensive name brand
Don't stick quite an good as expensive name brand stuff, but work great otherwise. Worth the price.

Large and Very Effective
These are great hot and cold patches. They're nice and large and easy to put on. They don't smell that strong either, like a very light viks vapor rub. You notice it even less once it's back under your shirt. It's perfectly sticky too. I fell asleep with one on once and it was still on when I woke up like six hours later, after already wearing it a few hours prior. My back was still tingly and numb for a long while after I took it off about an hour or so, which I didn't mind at all. Definitely don't do that but you'll be fine if you do haha Just letting you know it didn't burn or hurt at all and taking it off even after that long wasn't bad at all. These are sticky enough to cling to you really well but they don't hurt to take off like a bandaid does.

It Works
My only gripe with the product is that it doesn't stay on for long, compared to name brand products. For instance, I can wear it for 6-8hrs but after some movement it starts to come undone. Also, there are times when I need to wear them at night to ease the pain for my shoulders while I sleep. Unfortunately, these just don't do the job. I've found Salonpas to be better. Otherwise, these do the trick for muscle relief. It gives a nice cooling effect and I can definitely smell the menthol at work.

Wonderful
These are a life saver. I have coat hanger pain from pots and these take the edge off for hours.

Pain Reliever
With the same amount of pain reliever as more expensive prescription choices, both the 4% and 5% varieties work fairly well for knee and lower back discomfort. The 5% variety is longer, so works well for an elongated placement compared to the shorter, cross-wise choices. However, I wished the stickiness was a little stronger.
