Vgate vLinker FS USB OBD2 to USB Car Diagnostic Tool Code Reader for FORScan OBD2 Adapter

This works great with Forscan to diagnose and customize your Ford vehicle.

I bought cheaper ones and I had to return the cheaper ones. This one worked first shot no problems. Definitely would recommend buying this over those 14,15 $16 ones. I was even able to program two new key chips in about 12 minutes.

Works as intend to

I originally brought a generic adapter with a on and off switch. When used to rewrite with Forscan, it would freeze up and I got a interrupted message. Wasted half a day trying to figure out the problem. Even tried using previous version of Forscan. No luck. I finally gave up and purchased the Vgate vLinker adapter. Holy Moly, this thing is lighting fast and I was able to rewrite with Forscan with no problems. I also used the latest version of Forscan. I attached a picture with both adapters for reference. Don"t be like me and buy cheap, buy twice. Spend a little more money and get the Vgate vLinker. Trust me it works.

Every time I use this no matter which program I used it on it throws me a warning that it does not perform like an authentic one wood so I am not sure what the deal is with us

I’m a Linux enthusiast and don’t use Windows so I wanted to try this on Linux under WINE using FORScan. Works just fine! Run the following commands first (change out username for your username) and logout and back in sudo usermod -a -G dialout username sudo usermod -a -G try username Then install via WINE, get your license and install in FORScan and you’re good to go. No driver issues just plug in and go and fix or hack whatever you want on your Ford etc. I used this to fix the hyper flashing LEDs on my Maverick. Super easy. Going to do a lot more hacks! For reference, Kali Linux 2024.3 / Ubuntu 2404.4 on a Surface tablet using FORScan 2.3.62 under WINE. VERY HAPPY! Don’t have to replace my LEDs now and can add more drive modes and a whole lot more! Way worth the $30!!! Connected instantly, easy to use/diagnose, very easy to read and understand. If you tinker with Fords or Mazdas, get this!

Got here on time. I was able to make some changes to functions on a used car I had purchased. There are plenty of resources online for specific modules and codes and how to make the changes. This particular FORScan tool was less than half the price of the first one I looked at. It works FINE. It's all about the software.

Works perfectly with Forscan .... solved a bunch of problems with my 2011 Mercury Mariner Hybrid!!

Used it for my mustang, it works as intended.

Just plug and read it's exactly what I needed to update modules and read and clear my DTCs while using forscan. The software is very easy to search and install. Not a bulky scanner which is nice when you don't wanna lug around a bunch of equipment and wires to your vehicle.

Great computer interface for Forscan (Ford), it probably works for any computer to USB program. Good quality, never lost connection. Get one if you need one!

I had a very old and not fully supported ELM-based OBDII dongle, it worked OK with Forscan, but many functions were not available. I was looking for an inexpensive replacement, even if it would mean to use a laptop instead of the phone/tablet. This device worked out of the box, no troubles, no drivers to install etc. I actually used it under VirtualBox in Linux without any issues.
