Great Little Seat! Saved My Back!
Listen. My kids are grown; I have no grandkids; my husband’s a couch potato and I sit on my bed, CNN running in the backdrop while I edit books for a living. In other words: I don’t sit in bleachers and my work posture stinks. So I got this little chair in hopes it might help my back. And, it does. The adjustable straps have proven excellent. If I’m lounging, I pull them tight & lean back. Though the material is soft, the top of the back and seat area have structure, and keep my back straight, my legs up but very comfortably. I worked today while in it and subsequently reclined to read & pay attention to the TV. I love it! It’s far better than a posture garment or back brace, and even an office chair (yes, I have worked at a desk many times)!

Sturdy like most ALPS Mountaineering products; could be a little lighter weight
Nice price for a sturdy seat that will make your metal-bleacher pilgrimages watching your kids play sports, or your wooden bench or grass lawn concerts, much more comfortable. ALPS Mountaineering makes good, sturdy products - not the lightest out there, but capable of taking a beating, and this chair is par for the course. If saving grams is important to you, you could trim off a bunch of stuff that adds weight: the handles, the back pocket, etc. It doesn't roll up easily like some products - it's sturdy enough that it's hard to bend - but it's something you can throw in your car and forget - just like you forget your kid's next soccer game. Then pull it out and exclaim "blessed relief for my sore back!" when the game starts.

Just what I needed
This is exactly what I wanted for reading or hanging out in the park mid quarantine. Does it feel like a plush recliner? No. It is Digs in a LITTLE on the sides. But it’s very supportive and light weight and has cute colors (I got the rust). I brought it to the park for drinks with friends and got so many compliments and didn’t have to deal with trying to sit up straight on my blanket and getting a back ache

It's great for soft ground, not so much on hard.
I bought these for beach chairs and they are great for that.Unless you are on the edge of something, like a big rock, that you can hang your feet over, you need to sort of dig a divot in sand to place the bottom edge of the chair in and lean back until your legs catch the weight.Works great with sand, ok on grass. On hard back you need an over hang for your legs.

Perfect for any outdoor activities! MUST BUY!
I will never go backpacking/camping without this again! This seat makes being in the woods so comfortable because you always have a dry seat between you and the ground. The chair is so lightweight I just clip it to the outside of my pack with a carabiner and go! I also loosen the straps for stadium seats and wear this like a backpack for a quick day hike. I use a carabiner or bit of paracord tied to the top handle on both sides to keep the chair closed while wearing. The mesh pocket on the outside is perfect for whatever you need to bring with you. I have only used this chair on one trip but will certainly get a lot of use out of it! I will be keeping it in my car for quick access! Great product!

Whoever invented this is a genius
4.5 stars. I’m using it to sit up in a bed that lacks a headboard. Pleasantly surprised that it actually works for that! Love that it’s super lightweight and compact. If using on floor it needs a cushion. I’m small, and I think bigger people would prefer a bigger size. I just got it so I don’t know about durability but so far I really like it for my purposes. Yay!

These are great! We got them to use in our canoe
These are great! We got them to use in our canoe, which we actually have not had a chance to do yet. But we used them on a camping trip and they were great for long game nights at a picnic table. I use one when I sit on the floor to play with my baby. They will be great to take to picnics or bleacher-seating games. The bottom straps (that would go around a bench type seat) are a great feature. My only wish is that there was a way to clip the two sides together when folded. They are a bit unwieldy when carrying. But this would not deter me from buying them again, especially because it would be easy enough to clip the two handles together myself.

Great product at a great price. I use it at outdoor music festivals.
I bought this to use an an outdoor music festival, where you need to have a low chair so as not to block people behind you. I also wanted something very lightweight and easy to pack and store. This product fits the bill, and at a very good price. It has a mesh pocket on the back to carry small items like newspaper, magazine, etc. Seems to be very well made, and will last for many years. Also, this one has something that not all stadium chairs of this type have: straps on the bottom to secure to to bleacher seats.

Will get the job done
If you're looking for a premium canoe seat, this is not the place. This is just an upgrade on the stadium seats generally available on Amazon & department stores. It has the additional buckles across the bottom that give it canoe/paddling functionality, which is desperately needed on long trips on the water.I will be honest and say I was very OPTIMISTIC, but this thing did get the job done... It was not as strong or as supported as I had thought. Pulling the straps to the max and really thinking you can sink your body in to this seat will not happen if you're an above-average size person. The buckles immediately broke and I was left with one buckle to hold my weight only slightly, as I couldn't lean the whole way for the rest of my trip.I would encourage you to buy this if you understand that it is a treatment, not a solution. It will get the job done, but if you plan on being in canoe's for extended periods of time consider investing in a heavier, metal solution.

Not good for indoor volleyball bleachers
We purchased the ALPS mountaineering weekender stadium seat. It arrived a day late thus we were out of town. Once we used it at an event that was indoor and on bleachers. we found that the support straps slid out of place, that the back was not rigid enough to support full back support, that we still required to lean back onto the bleacher behind us to find comfort (but even then it would not provide the comfort we were looking for). The cushion on the bottom was satisfactory, the back did not go high enough (I am 5 ft 5 inches). My husband will NOT use this as he is looking for something with a rigid back. I wont return it as I find returning products challenging so we will take it as a loss. Would I use it again for watching indoor volleyball at a college level, no.

Perfect for back woods camping although it's a little "thin" even for the average adult behind. Bought for my 11yr old son though and it should last him several years. For an average sized adult I'd recommend a larger one.

Sturdier than expected. We used it to help hang a 20lb bag of frozen food for a bear hang without worrying about it's durability.Oh, and the chair works really well, too
