Cute shoes with squeaky fart sounds!
I never thought that I would wear Crocs... And their price at the mall totally put a nail in that coffin! But they came out with these flats and I thought I'd give it a try and they were on sale (Amazon Deal of the Day a few days ago). I wear 6.5M and I got a little nervous since these don't come in half sizes. The only time I can wear a "smaller" size are in Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers when I wear a Men's Size 4 (which translates to a Women's 6). The only reason I knew that I would fit a size 6 in Crocs cuz I've tried on the size 6 at the store before.Anyway, these arrived and when I opened the box, I looked at them and thought, "OMG, they're like plastic TOY shoes..." My husband on the other hand was a little more positive... "Those are Crocs??? Wow... They don't look like... Umm.. Special dork shoes..." I tried em on and they looked like I can take em a little more seriously... And they fit perfectly... A little too perfectly and I worried that I'll have blisters when I actually wear em to work. And yes, I wore em to work the next day! Which is today... The first few hours was surprisingly great! Nothing hurt or was rubbing me the wrong way. I was even texting my girlfriends about it, telling them how excited I was about my new Crocs cuz I can now spray the inside of these plastic bad boys with alcohol and prevent any funk that might start lurking... I told them how I liked these cuz I didn't have to wear those ballet flat socks which ALWAYS shift around and stick out anyway... Then around lunch time, there was this annoying pain, like my skin was getting raw over my right heel. I figured that this is normal... All new flats give me some sort of grief, why should this be any different, So I grabbed a band aid when I took my foot out of my shoe to put the band aid on, I noticed it... THE SKIN! The exfoliated skin! SO MUCH OF IT! Ok ok... Lemme just clear this up for you guys... I can NOT stand dry, itchy, cracked, scaly feet. I don't even like looking at it! I scrub my feet with a pumice like once a week... THIS... THIS amount of skin... Like, where did this all come from?! How do I still have skin on my feet left???I had to look it up. I felt like weirdo looking this up on the internet, but I found a few other people mentioning this! I'm not alone!!!! This is SOMEWHAT normal. So I took a few napkins, looked around to make sure that no one was watching, and I dried/dusted my feet off and put my shoes back on...As the day progessed, I noticed that they don't really breathe all that well... And the more walking I do, and today was kind of a warmer day, there was definitely some moisture going on in there... And every step made this squeaky-fart sound. A squeaky sound is annoying enough. A fart sound coming from your general direction is pretty awkward on its own... But I feel like squeaky fart sound catapulted me in a different level of awkward... I didn't know if I should walk slower, faster or lighter... Or just make a bunch of other noise while I walked to drown out my shoes' sounds! And while I was walking, making all this noise, I was trying all sorts of things with my toes, spreading them, curling them, ANYTHING to get the noise to stop. Definitely no quiet/sneaky/ninja skillz with these shoes on.When I got home, I took off my shoes and I found more exfoliated skin! It's amazing and gross at the same time. I got my pumice and finished the job... And my feet were amazingly soft afterwards! I guess that's the silver lining in my experience today...These are my first Crocs. Is there a FAQ pamphlet? Or some sort of tips and tricks website? I still really like how simple the design is and that they are, for the most part, comfortable and easy to clean. I just gotta figure out how to keep things a little more quiet.

I can't believe I'm saying this
Truth be told, I am a die-hard "crocs are the ugliest thing ever" girl. And when I began considering purchasing these, I really had to be reassured that they looked okay, by at least 10 people...Why did I want these shoes? The answer is easy: I'm backpacking Europe this summer and I need a shoe that is light, looks good, and waterproof! As I backpack around, I'll be staying in hostels. In hostels you need shower shoes. Shower shoes need to be waterproof. But in a backpack space is extremely limited. So I didn't want to bring a pair of shoes that I would ONLY wear in the shower....because that would just be a waste of room/weight in my carry-on backpack. (by the way, I went with the ebags weekender convertible junior, in case anyone is looking for recommendations). So, I need a good shoe that can pull double duty as a shower shoe and a normal shoe.Bam. Here we are.I actually went to the crocs store in my local mall before I purchased these, so that I could figure out what size to buy.And my reviews on what I've thought ever since I received these? I love them!!!! (that feels so weird to say)From the top down (which is how everyone else is going to be looking at your shoes) these look like designer flats. These are made from SOLID material, and I plan on them sticking around for a few years, at least.I've worn them out a few times now, just to break them in (they don't really need breaking in.....maybe I was breaking in my humility to wear crocs?) anyways, when I've worn them out they've been so comfy-which will be great when I travel!Yah, your foot is going to get a little sweaty (or a lot sweaty) but that's pretty typical of all flats. However, these do make funny squeaking noises when your foot gets too sweaty...but I figured out quick how to avoid that.Overall, I will never admit I own crocs, but I will always be glad I purchased these.

Product listing fails to mention fit style, but still super cute!
Didn't realize that this particular style only comes in "Standard fit" sizing, while I apparently need a "Relaxed fit" of Crocs flats. Pity, because they're super cute! But pinchy on my toes is no good when I'm buying "sensible" cute shoes to give my feet a break from the more-fashionable-but-less-comfortable boots I tend to wear most of the time. I ended up returning these due to not wanting to risk ruining them by trying to "enlarge" them with the dryer method that's suggested by other commenters. If I hadn't been able to return them via Amazon's "No Hassle Returns" policy on shoes/clothes, I certainly would have attempted stretching them out.Oddly enough, I also purchased a pair of crocs Women's Cap Toe Bow W Ballet Flat, Stucco/Black, 6 B(M) US and they fit perfectly because they ARE "Relaxed Fit." Neither product listing has any indication that these two shoes are a different fit, but I'm pleased that at least one of the pairs of shoes I bought fit me decently.

Comfortable & look good
I wear ballet flats rain, shine, summer, winter, day night. I used to be a real shoe hog but then I had babies, with 3 in the house things are hectic & I really just needed something quick, easy & versatile. A pair of black ballet flats goes with pretty much anything but they don't always give the best support. These are fantastic, extremely comfortable & actually have arch support. Another problem with ballet flats is that they are usually pretty flimsy. Not only do I wear them a lot but I'm constantly chasing three toddlers. I usually wear out my shoes in a few months. These are one solid piece so there shouldn't be anything falling or ripping off. The soles are also very thick so I don't think I will wear holes in them. My final concern with these was that they would be ugly. They look like a regular pair of ballet flats, not rubbery or thick. Time will tell & I will try to update when they do wear out
