I bought this product to use on the beach as my 3 month old grandson was coming to stay and it proved to be worth every penny. Exellent shade, easy to assemble, easy to dismantle and wraps up to be stored in the small bag provided. I found it much easier to handle and store than the small beach tent. A very handy product all round, very pleased with this purchase.

Worked okay. The mating Velcro strips to attach it to the umbrella had to be adhered to the umbrella ahead of first use, allowing 8 hours for the adhesive backing to cure. A mild breeze at the beach put a lot of pressure on the attachments and a couple of them pulled loose. Reattaching them with a stronger adhesive suitable for fabric should work better for next use. The shade is a bit narrow; attaching two would provide better shade for a longer time. As the sun moves, the umbrella and the shade need to be moved occasionally in order to maintain sun blocking. Bigger or multiple shades would extend the time before needing to move the umbrella canopy. Despite the minor drawbacks, it was a good solution to the problem of providing more shade than an umbrella alone. The only other alternatives seem to be either a pricey,bulky large pop-up canopy or a modified dome tent that is inconvenient to get in and out of and doesn't provide room to stand up under.

I was not sure about this shade since it is very windy on the North shore of Puerto Rico but it worked fantastic. The instructions said to let the Velcro sit for eight hours but I let it set overnight. It was very easy to attach and the sand retainer with built in Velcro holders was perfect. I highly recommend this product.

~BACKGROUND~I purchased this to use during our week long beach trip this summer.~PROS~- Lightweight- UV protection (UPF 50+)- Easy to use - just unpack, roll out and hang.- Easy to store in it's own small bag.- Pocket at the bottom to keep the sun shield in place.- Provides about 2-3 square feet of shade depending on the sun's location.~CONS~- Unusable in windy situations. It does one of two things - it either pulls your umbrella out of the sand or it pulls itself off of the velcro. It needs more vents to allow wind to pass through.- Unusable depending on the sun's location. If you want to watch the ocean and the sun is directly in front of you the shade would block your view entirely.- As the sun moves, the sun shield needs to be moved, too. Unfortunately if the bottom pocket is full of sand to keep it in place, it's a pain to move.~TIPS~- Set this up prior to going to the beach. Otherwise you face the challenge of trying to attach sticky velcro and a flapping piece of fabric on the beach.- Instead of sand use other heavy items to keep the bottom in place. That way as the sun moves the sun shield can be easily moved.~CONCLUSION~In theory this is a great addition. In reality it just does not perform well on the beach. It was moderate wind during our beach week and the shade would not work at all. It was more of a hassle than anything. I can however see it's usefulness for those people who use umbrellas in places other than the beach.I would recommend this sun shield for use in light to no wind situations. In moderate to high wind this is a waste of money.

The umbrella is fine, but the backdrop ezShade doesn't work. It doesn't attach well to the umbrella, it doesn't stay where you want it and it can't withstand the wind. It's a waste of money.

I'm someone who is sensitive to too much sun exposure. I overheat at the beach, and swimming in the water is just sometimes not an option. This product worked like a charm! It also helped when I brought my two year old nephew to the beach. If I did not bring this shade, we would have had to leave because the sand simply was too hot to even walk on. I recommend this product to anyone with children or who has sensitivity to heat while at the beach! It brings some comfort to those 95 + degree days!

Umbrella broke after four uses. Very thin plastic arms - one snapped in half. I loved it at first, and even considered buying another, until I realized how flimsy it was. Garbage product. Don't waste your money.

Perfect shade at the beach!! I will be buying more.

es la segunda vez que compro éste producto, muy resistente, grueso, trae velcro para fijacion y se adapta perfecto a la sombrilla con los velcros. Lo recomiendo mucho.
