Great tool, eashvyo use

9 year DJ here. Wanted something cheap I could chuck in a backpack and take to parties or across the country in a carryon and wow is this thing legit. Annoyed that it’s the older usb standard (get an adapter!) and the fact that the cable is HARD WIRED INTO THE UNIT?? But for functionality, this little guy is killer. Using serato’s midi remapping function, I now have all of the controls I use on my Pioneer DJ sr1 & 2 accessible on this thing and it’s a blast to use. Jog wheels are a little inconsistent when it comes to detecting your touch, but for how cheap and convenient this is, it’s a small price to pay. I’d give it 5 stars but seriously why would you hardwire the cable into the unit.

I’m really happy with the Hercules DJ Impulse MKII. It works exactly as expected and even better for the price! It’s compact but has everything you need to mix, practice, and have fun at home. I also love that I can control my speaker volume directly from it — super convenient. The design looks great, it’s lightweight, and feels solid. For what it costs, it’s honestly one of the best options out there. Totally recommended!

Super easy to use, worked fine on windows with serato DJ and soundswitch. Great for anyone whos never used a mixer like this before

ADDED 9-12-24 The sync cable doesn't pick up the controller anymore. I've barely used the controller (once or twice a week) and I've been careful with it and especially the cable. If find a solution, I'll revise my review, but until then this otherwise nice controller is now trash! PREVIOUS REVIEW : I like the size and the functionality. It appears to do all the stuff of bigger controllers without taking up so much space but it's bigger than those mousey (but also effective) mini controllers so it still 'looks' at least somewhat more professional/serious if you happen you have an actual DJ gig. So far it's an excellent starter controller for anyone seriously interested to DJ! My only real negative is that the USB sync cable is hard wired/pre-attached to the controller so if anything goes wrong with that cable, you can't 'just' buy a cable and replace it (which can be done even with on mini Numark controller) You're gonna have to repair or replace the WHOLE ole damn unit! So be gentle with it!

Very nice wonderful the turntables feel very realistic, it doesn't feel all jenky and all that it feels very durable. It has enough wait on it to not seem like a toy but also very compact and not bulky at all. It is a great starter thing.

Excelente controlador a pesar de su tamaño es muy bueno funcionando perfecto en Windows y Mac yo lo ocupo con serato y suena muy bien estoy contento llego en perfecto estado aunque la paqueteria de Amazon lo entrego a un vecino sin consultarmelo lo cual fue un momento desagradable. Worth money

First impulse 200 is pretty good and popular dj controller. Price is a bit high but worth it in my opinion more bang for your buck than the other options in my opinion though I don’t think it’s worth more than a couple hundred. Great price though and I like the idea of the tutorials, really helpful for beginners like me who don’t know what they’re doing. Overall, good bang for your buck. It’s portable and easy to use. ( they don’t mention that you have to create an account for djuced). My only complaint is that it doesn’t support YouTube or Spotify
