These figures were for my 5 year old grandson and to say the least, he loves them all! I even purchased a carrying case for them. He plays with them all the time. Very nice!!

This is a great starter pack for Bakugan fans. It has the cards to play the game properly, but if your little one just wants to play with the figurines, it's a good fit. They are sturdy and can hold together with moderate play. A fun, portable toy.

My 6 year old nephew is really into bakugan and given my partner and I have played some battle card games and enjoyed them I thought I'd get this. To the dismay of avid fans, I'm a total noob, but I'm enjoying it so far. Pros: • Good value given you get 6 bakugan in the set • Fun game for both kids and adults • Customisable parts Cons: • No instructions So, coming at this as somebody who doesn't follow the franchise, I may sound a bit silly. My nephew is a total nerd and has some bakugan balls already, but these new ones can be customised so you can strategize further what sort of stats you have. You get a few rolling bakugan and two newer "spin" ones. The idea of the game, put in total layman's terms, is to roll them onto these special gate cards (which are magnetic) and then the characters pop up. With the special ones they spin (and you get these little tracks to help with this), and if you have an arena then you have more complicated factors involved (like the walls and them bumping into eachother) which can make the game more competitive and immersive. Disregarding the dismay from the nephew at my lack of nerdy terminology, I really did have fun playing it. I like the character cards (my favourite part of any card game!) and sort of got my head around how to figure out who wins in battle. The set seems like good value for what it is, given what you get and the characters. The customisable aspect is really awesome in my opinion and I love the interactivity of the game with the models and the cards. This is a great place to start for new people (with help of preexisting fans as instructions are no good) or committed fans of the franchise. I think it would make a great gift for any bakugan fan. You can also buy them further gifts (like the arena or more characters) in the future. My nephew loves it and I'm getting better at the game; so for us it's been a winner and given us something to bond over. Really cool item.
