Classic Basil Pesto

I just wanna say "read ingredients" before purchasing. When I first started buying pesto, it was basil and oil. It was pretty simple and wonderful. Finding vegan pesto has gotten extremely hard. This is tasty, but if you're fasting from all animal products for religious reasons, this violates that. There's animal products in it from dead fish cheese. Probably from cows that live in a few square feet hooked up to machines until they die. Bummer.

Killer concentrated flavor. More flavor in 1 bottle that 1 pound of uncooked pasta can handle. And let's talk about quality! These bottles survived a trip loose inside a box with 6 cans! EVERY SINGLE can had damage, but NOT the Italian made bottles. As far as Amazon logistics: hmmm let's see; mixing metal & glass, in a box, loose? What could possibly go wrong? Start asking the "5 Why's" (It's Amazon's proprietary review process for problem solving) any month now Amazon. If you can't get product into a customers hands undamaged why stock or ship it?

Good authentic taste for a jarred pesto. Only flaw I personally think it’s a little too salty. Will buy again.

This is hands down our favorite jarred pesto. The flavor is consistently good and it’s the one I reach for whenever a recipe calls for pesto. Our local Kroger stopped carrying it, but I’ll still go out of my way to order it because nothing else we’ve tried compares. It works great tossed with pasta, spread on sandwiches, or mixed into recipes where you want solid basil flavor without it tasting artificial. If you’re looking for a reliable jarred pesto that actually tastes good, this is the one I’d recommend.

Middle of the road product

I bought this for my girlfriend, who is a huge lover of pesto. She was overjoyed when this arrived at the door. She said she will use this for special occasions. The price for pesto was a good deal, and I hope to have some with her when we meet next.

I used to buy amy pesto tortellini, and I loved pesto ever since, so I decided to buy the pesto sauce alone and use it when I make a dish. What is this taste nothing like pesto not was horrible don't buy

The taste of this pesto sauce is not for everyone, or rather not for those of us who have come to expect pesto to taste a certain way, being conditioned by consuming cheap Indian pesto. You will hate the taste initially, but may come to like it by the end of your pasta or spaghetti meal. It does have a grassy taste though which I don't know whether pesto should have, and didn't enjoy it. 3/5 stars
