Perfect USB-C to Micro B Hard Drive Cable
This cable worked perfectly for connecting my external hard drive to newer USB-C devices. The connection feels solid and reliable, and transfer speeds have been fast and consistent without random disconnects or lag. The cable quality feels much sturdier than a lot of cheaper hard drive cables, and the shorter 1.5-foot length is actually really convenient for desk setups because it keeps everything cleaner and less tangled. It worked right away with my devices without needing any extra setup, and I appreciate having an easy way to connect older Micro B hard drives to newer laptops, tablets, and phones with USB-C ports. Overall, this is a great quality cable that feels durable, reliable, and much better made than many standard hard drive cables.

Works great
Fantastic little cord. Works great on my external hard disk drive. Cord thicknesses I would say standard with a quality feel. Never feels like it's overheating. Overall good value.

The Cable That Finally Eliminates Transfer Bottlenecks
Some upgrades don’t look impressive on paper, but they completely change how efficiently you work. This cable falls squarely into that category, and once you start using it in a real workflow, the difference becomes obvious almost immediately. The Ugreen USB-C to Micro-B cable has become a core part of my setup, especially when dealing with large files and external drives. If you’re working with video, high-resolution photos, or anything that requires moving serious amounts of data, the gap between a slow cable and a properly built one is not small. It’s the difference between waiting around and actually staying productive. The biggest advantage here is speed, and it’s not just a spec on paper. In real-world use, transfers feel faster, smoother, and more consistent. Moving large video files from an external drive to a laptop happens without the stuttering or random slowdowns you get with cheaper cables. There is no guessing whether the connection will hold or if speeds will drop halfway through. It just performs the way you expect it to. From a workflow perspective, this simplifies everything. There are no adapters to deal with, no extra points of failure, and no time wasted troubleshooting connections. You plug it in, your drive is recognized immediately, and you get to work. That kind of reliability becomes more valuable the more you depend on your setup for actual output, not just casual use. Build quality is another area where this cable stands out. The braided exterior gives it a durable, well-made feel without making it stiff or difficult to handle. It coils easily, doesn’t kink, and holds up well to repeated use. The connectors themselves feel solid and secure when plugged in, which is important when you’re transferring large files and don’t want to risk a disconnect halfway through a project. One thing that becomes clear over time is how much consistency matters. Cheaper cables can work fine for small, quick transfers, but once you start working with larger files, especially video footage or full project folders, their limitations show up quickly. Slower speeds, unstable connections, and occasional dropouts interrupt your workflow and cost you time. This cable eliminates that variable. It delivers a stable connection every time, which allows you to focus on the work instead of the tools. Another advantage is how well it integrates into modern setups. With more devices moving to USB-C, having a direct connection to Micro-B drives without needing adapters is a big convenience. It keeps your setup cleaner and reduces the number of extra accessories you need to carry or keep track of. For anyone working in content creation, real estate media, photography, or any field where transferring large files is part of the routine, this becomes more than just a cable. It’s a small upgrade that has a measurable impact on how smoothly your day goes. When you’re moving footage between drives, backing up projects, or working across devices, the time saved adds up quickly. Even outside of professional use, the benefit is clear. Backing up personal data, organizing large photo libraries, or moving files between devices becomes faster and less frustrating. It’s one of those tools that improves both work and everyday use without requiring any adjustment. At the end of the day, this is not a flashy product, and it is not trying to be. It’s a tool designed to do one job well, and it does exactly that. Reliable speed, solid build quality, and consistent performance make it an easy recommendation for anyone who depends on external storage. Simple, dependable, and built for real-world workflows. Once you start using a cable like this, going back to slower, less reliable options is not something you’ll want to do.

Sturdy and good quality
Cable is of good quality. Not the extremely flexible type, nice and solid. Bends easily still, but doesn't feel weak and lame. Plugged in and worked immediately as expected. Haven't tested speed yet, but with it being USBC I am not concerned. Works great on my macmini

Works great
Perfect, needed an updated chord to connect my hard drive backup to a new computer. The original cord was for a standard USB port not USB-C, so this worked great.

Good cable but probably won’t increase your speed
I’m giving this four out of five stars, because it works fine, however the description (and some reviews) seem to indicate it will make your hard drive faster. While I did not buy it specifically to make it faster, I did test it. I have a Western Digital Elemenrs USB drive, and when connected using the stock USB-A cable, connected to a USB SS labeled port on my laptop, I get read and write scores of around 80 MB/s (using Crystal Disk Mark). When I connect using the stock USB cable to my laptops USB-c/thunderbolt port and a USB-C hub, I get around 80 MB/s, and when I use this cable to that same port, I get the same 80 MB/s Perhaps there are some USB drives that WILL see increased speeds, but I don’t believe that most will, since most of the HDDs using this port are likely USB 2.0 at best. Either way, it works to connect my drive to my Windows laptop, my iPad, and my iPhone.

Seagate External Drives
Solid replacement for my Seagate 2TB SRD00F1 cable. Using the old OEM cable, I was beginning to experience intermittent connection drop outs, slow transfers + buffering issues with 4K remux movie files that are being streamed to Infuse Pro on my Apple TV 4K via SMB. I was starting to experience long buffer times for movies that pushed past 20+mbps bitrates. This cable has since eliminated buffering altogether (so far, so good). I was able to run 4-5 movies last night that well exceeded 20+mbps without a single pause. Initially, these same movies would begin to buffer around the 10-15 min mark. Fit is flush and secure on the micro-B end. No wiggle room like the original cable had. Being that this cable is USB-C instead of USB 3.0, I now have a direct connection to my mac & longer have to use my Anker hub. That's one less potential failure points taken out of the equation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Needed
I work on a Macbook and all my ports are USB-C so this really helps out and lives in my external drive case so that it’s an easy portable with. I really like the braided cord. It makes me feel like it’s more secure. And has been really easy to use, and I don’t notice the difference in speed between the two chords. It’s just easier speed for me to use rather than having to have an extra piece to put on the original external cord.
