Great product. A bit expensive but there’s plenty supplied. Easy to shape/cut and sticks down well.

Got this excellent black tape for mtb frame protection. I highly recommend 2228, was easy to apply. I used one box (£20) and cut strips and fitted side by side. It is maluble to seal together. Covered underside of all the bike frame, to protect against stone chips. Used on down tube and chain stay. Not bothered about weight of tape. Might be a pain to get off, but I will be putting new on.

used for chainstay protector on bike, better than expected, helps me have a quiet bike again. It sticks well and is very stretchy, left unstretched as a cushion for the chain and stretched round a couple of cables to tidy them, as a bit of a tape freak I can honestly say this stuff is great to have at hand.

Bought this to protect my bike's chainstain and I've also used it to protect the cranks ends. It's very easy to apply and seems ideal for the job. Only put 4*due to the price (£24 for a roll).

Was looking for something to protect my new mountain bike frame from chain slap,heard about 3m mastic but struggled to find any at first..... Plenty of unbranded options around but reviews mentioned the tape not sticking on the edges.Well after cutting it to shape, wiping the paintwork with brake cleaner, I applied it with ease to mould it around my chainstay, follows all the contours and sticks like s@#& to a blanket!..... Very happy with my choice

Fit it around the bottom bracket area to protect against stones.

Item arrived in excellent time. ONE THING TO POINT OUT IS, THE RUBBER THICKNESS IS INCORRECT AS ADVERTISED ABOVE. IT SHOULD READ 0.065 in (1.651MM). As yet not used the product I will report back when done so.

Its undoubtedly a lot of tape for an MTB chainstay protector, but it goes on really easily, molds to the shape of the chainstay upper surface and stays firmly in place no matter what conditions you throw at it. Recommended.

Das Band ist relativ dick und läßt sich sehr gut auf Oberflächen modellieren. Die Klebekraft ist sehr gut. Ich benutze es um an meinem Mountainbike durch Steinschlag gefährdete Stellen, ebenso wie die Strebe unter der Kette abzusichern. Das Band erscheint relativ teuer, ist aber jeden Cent wert. Ich kann es für den beschriebenen Zweck vollumfänglich empfehlen.

There really is nothing else like this....it's not cheap, but it really works. I tend to use it for bicycle-based applications but for whatever you need, this stuff works. I love how it can stretch and flex but still hold its tension/stickiness when applied. For my uses, one roll lasts me a long time.

I am sure it is used for other things but I bought it for use on my bicycles. Sticks well and is thick (one sided only). 3M/Scotch quality. Much easier to order from Amazon that to hunt for in the stores...
