You can use any standard 21in bow saw blade. A replacement blade can be had for a few dollars and are easily purchased at major home improvement stores or your local hardware stores.

Does this saw hold tension over years to come? And can the tension be adjusted?

The BOREAL21 will hold tension for years without the need for adjustment. We've purposely designed it to hold tension without the need for adjustment and without the risk of over tightening the frame. If you ever have any issues with tension (very unlikely) just send us an email or give us a call and we'll fix it for you.

can you store an extra blade inside the saw when not in use?

You can fit an extra blade inside the saw when it's not in use. However, it needs to be removed in order to open up the saw.
