Victorinox Fisherman Swiss Army Pocket Knife, Medium, Multi Tool, 18 Functions, Fish Scaler With Hook Disgorger

I have owned many Victorinox Swiss Army Knives in my time and this Fisherman model was purchased for my uncle. As one would expect, the knife is a fine quality product. For the fisherman there is the hook disgorger tool and fish scraper and measuring rule, as well as useful scissors. The other features are as pictured. Note also that this knife has a tooth pick and a small pair of tweezers which slot into the red plastic bodywork near the keyring attachment point. The only thing that disappointed me about this product was the packaging. In the past, any Victorinox knives I've bought have come in a nice little card box with a plastic insert. However, perhaps in an effort to cut costs and be more eco-friendly, the box for this knife was very basic. Sure, it was Victorinox branded, but it was just a simple card box, one that afforded very little protection to the knife. Indeed, in transit, my box got slightly damaged due to Amazon's packaging, which was inadequate to protect the product and ensure the box arrived in perfect condition. On the whole, I am happy to recommend this knife as a gift for a fisherman or for your own angling use. I might buy one myself, but I notice that Wenger also has a fishing model, which has a more interesting modern design with a useful grip feature, which could be of benefit to wet hands. The Victorinox hook removal tool is a better shape and provides a surer, more confident embrace of the hook. Take a close look at the product pictures and you'll see what I mean.

Cheap and very useful whilst fishing

I bought this as a christmas gift for my partner. He loves fishing and finds a Swiss knife really useful when preparing his rods/line etc. Lovely little gift, sturdy, great quality and looks like it will last a long time. Great value for the cost 😊

Victorinox fisherman ,well you don't have to be a fisherman to enjoy owning this knife ! Typical victorinox quality ,I have never had a bad one !This model has a good tool set everything is handy even the fish scaler blade (handy as a make shift straight edge and even a lunch fork at a push ) there is an angler model with a corkscrew instead of the fisherman's Philips screwdriver , guess anglers are more for wine ? This knife was purchased for a bargain price here on Amazon delivered fast by the seller, so well pleased recommended for fishermen or even anglers who don't drink wine and everybody else who wants a handy pocket knife !

Great little gadget that has come to use many a times. Be forewarned that you can't take this on a plane!

Excellent utility tool 10/10

What can anyone say about Swiss Army Knives. This one is no exception. It is well made and well finished and as I had bought it for a relative as a birthday present I was concerned that it was more of gadget that a tool. However he is an avid fisherman and assures me that it is a tool which is useful for its intended purpose. I have carried a Swiss Army Knife, although of a different style for more than 25 years and used it sometimes for tasks it was not intended. It is still serviceable and in almost daily use after all that time. Recommended.

The knife is good but it came in with scratches all around and dirt on the blade. Another Amazon shamefull job.
