Excellent Purchase
High quality terminator plug product and easy to use with riser rated CAT8 cable. Highly recommend using Milwaukee 5 in. Mini Flush Cutting Pliers for precise trimming of the individual wires, as the well designed wire holder component on the terminator plug assembly needs them to be all very precisely lined up and all the same length for setting wire holder in place and ease of closing the plug's nicely hinged design. No specialty crimping tool needed! The only issue to note is the small shielding strip for the cable wrap could be a bit longer and is fussy to use.

Fits thicker cables
I've had issues in the past with CAT7 / CAT8 cables not fitting into CAT7 / CAT8 pass-through plugs because the wires were too thick, but these work nicely! Used 2 of these on both ends of a CAT8/SR cable and they work perfectly.

Easily and reliably installed on Cat 7a cable
I've been installing these on Cat 7a cable. The cable I'm using has conductors that, at 0.60 mm in diameter, are somewhere between 22 AWG and 23 AWG. I've used these on 2.5 Gbps/POE+ links to wireless access points, for HDbaseT runs to TVs and to make patch cables connecting equipment to the patch panel in the network+A/V rack. These connectors are a pleasure to use. They come with a piece of copper tape to wrap the folded-back ground (I was taught to use copper tape with shielded cable but these are the first connectors I've used that actually include the tape), have a load bar that is easy to work with and can be squeezed shut with your fingers if you're strong or pliers if you're not. I think I've installed about 30 of these and have not yet had one fail to work. The only downside of these connectors I've found, beyond their price, is that they are quite large. The body and strain relief nut add about 2 inches to the length of the RJ45 connector itself (compared to less than an inch for a normal patch cable with a strain relief boot), and the connector body is a bit wider than the RJ45 so I can imagine that there might be ethernet switches where plugging several of these in side-by-side might be a tight fit. Then again, the cable I've been installing these on is itself quite thick (8.2 mm) and a bit stiff, so the size of the connector does not seem inappropriate. I've used and would prefer other connectors for smaller diameter shielded cable, but for larger stuff these seem ideal. I can recommend these connectors for larger cables.

Very high quality, easy and quick termination.
These connectors are high quality and make termination quick and easy. However, I feel they are expensive. I justified purchasing them for my home network because I wanted good quality and a connector that was quick and easy. Luckily I didn't have a high number of terminations to complete for my home network so I could justify the added cost. I do wish they provided more/extra copper tape for the ground wire. I had to purchase additional copper tape to complete my work. If you do purchase these rj45 connectors make sure you get the Cable Matters tools that go with it.

All connectors should be this easy
Excellent product, well made and durable. The instructions leave a little to be desired, but once I read them a few times and played with the unit, it was rather simple. I'm not a cable person, so these make it VERY easy to put a connector on the cable. It has a keyed color coded loader, so it's REAL hard to make a mistake. However, if you do make a mistake you don't waste the connector. Just take it back apart and start again. Best ones I have ever used. To top off the design, they even added a top push bar to unlock the rj45 from the port.

Fast/Easy CAT8 termination over original type terminations Little on the bulky side for patch panels
Mainly making this review after seeing some of the other reviews of people not knowing what there doing lol. Saying its hard to work with and takes too much time ect lol. These are a hell of a lot faster and easier than the original old school connectors and those who work in the industry can most likely tell you the same. The older type connectors i always struggled keeping the end strait getting them in to the connecter and would take me close to 10 minutes easy and if you messed it up, you had to completely cut the end off and redo it with a new connector. These take me 2 minutes tops, and you will never have to replace them unless you break them. Need to switch pairs, open it up and re-adjust them. that simple. Over all there great for fast install and repairing, only downside I do not like is they are a little bulky when trying to tie in to a patch panel.

Cat8 wires gauge are too thin and donโt connect properly.
Regardless the easy installation, for cat8 cables gauge wires donโt get connected to the plug.
