Great watch with great features for finess and heath, with long battery life and quick charging
Great Analog/Digital Hybrid Smartwatch, well worth the money. This fulfills both of my likes, I love analog watches and have several, but digital watches are more functional and are filled with sensors for health and fitness. Well this Garmin watch is a Hybrid and does both things well, I wear it for about a week with everything except GPS turned on and then it just takes a few hours to charge back up. I wish the display was slightly bigger, but that could be because I am getting older ;o) It has been reliable and durable during my year with this watch, I am hoping for many more years to come.

This watch is great! One of the best things I've purchased in 2024
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. Pros: battery life=10 / charges quickly face adaptability=10 / lots of different types & styles available Easy to read=10 / light or dark background options Easy setup= 10 / up and running in a few minutes. No glitches getting it going. Thank you. Looks great= 10 This is a substantial looking watch Does all the basics (steps, heart rate, calories, sleep eval) and has deeper levels of involvement for a lot of sports/activities. Cons: Havent discovered any yet. Have owned this watch for a month now & love it.

This is a BIG watch with lots of functions
First of all, this is a great watch for those who like the old school feel of having watches with actual hands as as well as the added tech features. As a female with small wrists (see the picture), the face is larger than my wrist is!! so it does look a bit odd, but I like it. And you want to be able to actually see what is on your watch without a magnifying glass. Switching out to a metal band lends it some additional style. You can also download additional watch faces if you do not like any of the default options. The somewhat higher upfront cost of a Garmin is more than made up for by the fact that (unlike all of its competitors) you do not have to pay a monthly subscription fee to access almost all of the advanced activity and health functions. I am using it primarily for health and activity tracking and was expecting a bit more from the sleep tracking. Basically you input when your normal sleep and wake times are and it measures your heart rate and movements during that time. Changing your sleep and wake times can actually change your sleep score after the fact which seems odd. It is essentially recording that you slept between the hours that you input. As someone who often wakes during the night, it still notes my sleep score as Good or Excellent for a night when I am awake most of the time but not moving (though I think this would be the case for any such device; obviously it not scanning my brain waves!). The time between charges is insanely good. No one wants their watch to spend most of its time plugged into a wall after all. Also note that most of the Garmin guides are out of date, so I suggest going to YouTube for instructions on getting started, changing settings and getting the most out of your watch.

Much better than Fitbit
I am so glad I bit the bullet and grabbed this watch on sale. The Garmin app has much better parameters than Fitbit, even though there is a learning curve to submitting your activities. As a first responder / LEO, I appreciate how clear the screen is to read and the customization options. This is a wider watch. Smaller boned people may not care for that, but I find it just the right width for my wrist. Battery life is 1000x better than my old Fitbit Inspire. I definitely feel like this is a hidden gem as far as fitness watches go. Excellent quality and well worth the cost.

Been waiting for an analog version
So far so good. Paid a way better price than what is normally advertised. Bought Used- Like New and it was new. Looks like they took it out of the box and didn't like it because of no touch screen (which is a battery killer). I came from an Instinct 2 so I'm very familiar with the manual button configuration. This is definitely a level up. Love the analog hands and the watch face choices (paid) are sick! Just adding a leather band can get it mistaken for a regular watch. I can use this for work and daily driver (because it looks professional) while saving my Instinct 2 for kayaking and camping.

Much better than Fossil or Citizen!!
I am now on my third hybrid smartwatch. I've tried Fossil, Citizen & now Garmin. Garmin's Instinct Crossover is the best with superior capabilities. The watch face compass is my favorite! I had great difficulty reading the small text on the previous hybrids. The Garmin screen is clearly legible for my 60 y.o. eyes and the screen design options are much better. Unfortunately, the battery charge doesn't seem to last quite as long as the other 2 but I have been pushing a lot of buttons to learn what all it can do! Each of the other hybrids only lasted about 2 years before connectivity problems set in. I hope the Garmin lasts longer than that!

Misleading Product Description
I purchased this watch because I wanted a fitness tracker that could send info to my phone. I liked the idea of an analog-handed sports watch and didn’t see the black and white screen as a barrier to what I wanted to do. Boy was I wrong. You are denied access to almost the entire Connect IQ app, which is how you sideload fitness and tracking apps to the watch. They’re all designed for a full color touchscreen. Garmin says—in all their product listings—that you’ll be able to use apps from Connect IQ. What’s worse than all the above is that my watch and the company’s main app, Garmin Connect, don’t seem to know the watch can’t use Connect IQ. I have a permanent notification icon prompting me to finish initial set up…by downloading an app from Connect IQ. I tried to plough on and use it for a workout, but it stopped my run (7mph) 3 times in the first few minutes, indicating it thought I was resting. (140 bpm, though, so…?). So I switched to weight training and it was somehow worse. If I slowly lowered the weight (which you’d want to do), it registered I had finished my set. If I lowered weight quickly, it counted that as its own rep. I stopped using it after 5 minutes of cardio and after 5 minutes of weight training. It didn’t register my (perfectly sound) 8 hours of sleep and kept telling me my body battery was low. This is the worst wearable on Earth. And also what happens when a company promises and markets every feature as being on every watch, until even that company has no idea what its products can or should do.

Difficult to learn features and use.
Great watch. Does EVERYTHING. So much it can be confusing. I'm an old guy so I would like hardcopy user manual (none in the box. The ap is WEAK in helping. If instructions were less complicated my rating wow 4 or 4.5
