The only food my Indian ringneck will eat
This is the only bird food we feed our Indian ringneck, and he absolutely loves it. Iโve tried other brands in the past and he always picked around them, but he eats this one with no problem at all. The pellets are a good size, the quality seems consistent, and it keeps him healthy and happy. We buy it regularly and always keep a spare bag on hand.

Great Product, definitely worth the money.
I have a bare-eyed cockatoo and this medium pellet size is perfect for her beak, its big enough to exercise her beak but small enough for her to be able to eat comfortably. I go through a 10-pound bag of this food in 5 months, roughly speaking. This is great food, low in fat, no dies/colors/arrificial preservatives, and has plenty of vitamins and minerals for your bird's health. I usually serve my bird these pellets with a sprinkling of seeds and fruits/veggies either with the pellets or throughout the day depending on the food. For first time pellet feeders, this food will create a lot of crumbs so don't be alarmed when it looks like more of the pellet ends up on the bottom of the cage than in your bird's stomach. I didn't have too many problems switching my bird over, the bag gives tips on how to switch over. I chose to wean my bird and it took about 6 weeks before she was no longer dependent on a seed diet. I buy regularly from Amazon because no pet stores near me sell this food. It arrives pretty quickly, I reccommend this product.

Same food we bought from bird store but SOMETIMES cheaper!
UPDATE:I just went to purchase another bag and really wish (with 20/20 hindsight!) that I'd bought more! The great price I found weeks ago is gone! Instead of eighteen dollars it's now twenty-five for the same bag! I know prices fluctuate a little bit, but thirty nine percent in six weeks?? It's still good food, but I may start looking at other brands... I never thought of looking on Amazon for this before! It's the exact same pellet type food we've fed our parrots for the last five years, only instead of paying nearly $30 per bag BEFORE tax I now can get them here! Delivered to my door without the time and fuel costs of driving across town. Saving the tax is a bonus! Our birds like these, they offer complete nutrition and we've never had any health issues with any of our birds. The breeder we bought them from prefers Rowdybush so we've kept them on it since they were weaned, and two of our birds we fed the "baby formula" version of this starting from just a few weeks old. These pellets have a good long shelf life so are very convenient for us to use. We don't have to make a trip every week or two to get more that way. (of course, now we don't have to travel any further than the mailbox!) There are really only two negatives to Rowdybush, and the same might be true for ANY pellet foods. First, you sometimes can get infested with flour moths hidden inside the grain that don't hatch until after you open the bag. They are a real annoyance and both have ruined a bunch of our food and driven us crazy! Best thing we've found to help avoid this is we put every bag in our deep freezer (kept at 0 F/-18 C) for at least two days before we ever open the bag. Don't know if there are other ways but it's worked for us. The other issue is a real puzzler. All of our parrots seem to love putting large amounts of their food into their water bowls. If you don't catch it right away and let the water go overnight with the food in it it somehow ferments in some fashion and makes a very disgusting smelling mess! This is probably true of other pellet foods as well, I just don't know for sure... It always amazes me how odorless pellets smell SO unpleasant when none of the individual ingredients start to smell until they physically start to rot. In any case, we are entirely satisfied with this product, especially since it comes in four sizes so everyone can get the best size for every size parrot from a green cheeked conure, sun conure, Hahn's macaw (smallest macaw breed) to our severe macaw. There's also a bigger size pellet for the bigger guys.

Simply the Best Choice for your Feathered Friends
Love Roudybush for our 2 Sun Conures and 2 Caiques. It is simply the best researched, best quality product for your feathered friends. Zupreem is also solid, though having tried both, I'd say our birds prefer the Roudybush and seem to be healthier and happier when we feed it to them. At the very least it's reassuring that this is the food several respected breeders and aviaries use. It's also been scientifically formulated and researched over the years, and has been shown to increase lifespan by as much as 10 years over seed-based diets. That said, do not buy PrettyBird -- which is cheap poor quality. And do not expect your birds to love it if you've been feeding them seed. It will take time to transition them over, but they will adjust in time. Starting with RB as a mix-in and increasing the proportion daily is a good way. We also found that letting our Sun sit in the bag and dig in it worked well -- as funny as that is. We used to do all seed (thinking this was the right thing to do) and learned later how important it is to balance our birds diets with more organic (non-seed foods). Now we use mostly Roudybush and fresh fruit daily, with just a small amount of seed (either as a treat some days, or as a mix in -- though we've found that mixing the two is sometimes counter productive as one of our Suns will dump all the pellets on the floor of the cage trying to get the seed). One note -- this medium size can work for Caiques and Conures (esp if you have the kind who like to crunch things up), but we find the smaller size suits our birds better. Just good to know you can buy this in a pinch if the small size is out of stock when you need it.
