I bought it to pump and flush my hot water tank with and it performed flawlessly. I removed the cheap plastic drain valve on my water tank and installed a high quality full open port drain valve, and between that and this pump wow what a huge difference. Now I can flush my water tank better (sediment comes out much easier because of the higher flow) and also much faster. The bucket method took me almost an hour to drain my 40gal tank whereas now it only takes 5-7mins if that. This pump is well worth the $70 price and I love how it is a cordless battery operated pump too. I use 1 of my 20v Dewalt batteries on it. The pump also has a light on it that you can turn on or off as you wish as well. It also feels like it has a good quality build to it. Great cordless pump that you can take wherever you need it and without worrying about finding an outlet to plug in a power cord, which is another big advantage obviously. I am very happy with this pump.

I bought this pump to use on my property where I don’t have power or running water. I needed a way to move water from a 50-gallon bladder into a 16-gallon agricultural sprayer, and this little pump handled the job flawlessly. My DeWalt 20V batteries fit and worked perfectly, and the pump stayed strong from start to finish with no slowdown or struggle. It primed quickly, moved water fast, and made the whole process simple. My wife and I have been full-time rv living since Dec 2023, mostly boondocking. Our most important need is water and we use this pump to transfer water from a 100 gallon pickup tank to our 5th wheel. The 5 gallon jugs we used to camp weekends weren't cutting it. I bought this pump because it's power source matches my DeWalt tools I already had. Used this thing almost daily for 11 months and it just died one day. Have no idea why. So, I bought another one, but with the 3-year replacement warranty this time. I have no regrets with this pump and can find nothing else like it taking DeWalt batteries. In the time it's taken me to write this review, it has pumped 50 gallons into my trailer. Update - Feb 2025 By now, we've purchased three of these pumps. I really like these pumps, but they are mechanical devices and will ultimately fail. Nothing lasts forever. That second pump lasted a mere handful months and I contacted the seller and they immediately apologized for the pump failure and offered a replacement. Turns out a seller/manufacturer warranty of 12 months is offered. Didn't know that. Perfect resolution to my issue. Thank you LeftHandedTools!

Junk, tried for hours and every way I could think of to get it to work. Will not prime and will not pump. runs like crazy but it won't pump water. Don't waist your money.

This is a great pump and contrary to some reviews, does NOT kill DeWalt batteries. DeWalt batteries have inbuilt low voltage protection, this pump will not harm them. The pump eats batteries (10-15 minutes for 5ah) but doesn't harm them. I regurlarly run this pump for an hour at time, it'll eat 4-5 batteries and I run each battery until the pump stops before changing. If you run off brand batteries, that's at your risk. Cheap off brand batteries don't monitor voltage......you get what you pay for. The newer 5ah batteries (the ones with 'Lithium Ion' molded into the shoulders) don't lock in. They fit, the pump will run, but they max out the battery bay and the lid wont close. Its best used with the older 4 and 5ah batteries. The pump it's self is well made. The body is glass fibre reinforced plastic, a suprise for an off brand pump. The battery bay lid is ABS sadly, It will shatter into a million peices eventually. The pump housing is metal, it seems to be plated brass. The inlet and outlet are 1/2 NPT so you can easily make up what ever fittings you need to run it from standard plumbing parts, It comes with brass hose fittings attached. My back up house pressure pump runs at 2.3 bar (35psi) and this pump maintains a similar pressure. It'll essentually maintain household hose pressure. Impressive for a battery powered pump.

Dewalt clone at 30% of the price. Used it twice to drain water heaters. Used to take me an hr to drain. With this, 10 min. A bit noisy but works like a charm.

Good pump but you better have 2 or more 5 Amp Dewalt Batteries handy. You can expect to get about 20 minutes of good transfer and then the battery will be dead. Better to get an electric pump if you have access to electric plug. I will add that when we transfer water we are putting it through a filter/softener cannister much like a scuba tank so that will slow you down a bit as well.

Sehr gute Pumpe top Qualität und gute Anschlüsse in 3/4". Funktioniert mit Original und Nachbau Makita 18V Akkus. Mit 5AH Nachbau Akku, Gardenaanschlüssen und 1/2" Schlauch schaff ich ca. 300 l aus der Regentonne in 20 min. Zum gießen oder mobilen Einsatz super geeignet. Haben mittlerweile 3 Stück im Einsatz. Lautstärke ist auch ok. Reicht sogar für nen kleinen rasensprenger.

This works with 18 volt XR batteries. I nearly didn't buy this pump because they incorrectly advertise it as only for Dewalt 20 volt batteries. Must have lost them loads of sales in Europe. In the USA, Dewalt brand the batteries based on the charging voltage which is 20volts (probably because it makes them sound more powerful). In Europe they have to specify the battery voltage which is 18volts. The only difference between the US and European batteries is the part number and the artwork. I needed a pump to empty a couple of large water features before the winter freeze. This pump emptied my 2.6m long woodland stream in about 5 minutes. About 100 litres, pumped 1.5m uphill across 20m of lawn, to the surface water drain. Used 3m of 3/4" hose for the inlet and regular 15mm garden hose on the outlet. Self primed, uphill, from dry within a couple of seconds. Used 1 indicator light on 4ah battery. The supplied strainer has a large flat face and allowed me to pump out the sump right to the bottom without getting leaves into the pump. A brilliant piece of kit. So glad I spent the time to research DeWalt battery specs

Used for the first time this evening to water my garden from a 1000L tote. Pump worked perfectly. Allowed watering from a hose. Relatively quiet and plenty of water. So far great product! Makes watering my garden much easier.
