Jonard Tools ASW-716, Double Ended Speed Wrench, Angled Head, 7/16"

This thing works exactly as described. One side tightens, then flip it around and the other side loosens. Great for big jobs. Has a hole for a lanyard, in case you do aerial work or just don't want it falling. I'd recommend this for anyone doing lots of coax connections. Otherwise, if you are just handling a few, you can use a normal wrench. This does speed up the job.

If you do then buy this thing! Its not going to save you hours of work a day or make your attaching all cables magical, but it will make your job easier. I picked it up upon recommendation from a friend. It took a day or two to get used to but once I did I loved it. Makes it easier in those tight MDUs to get fittings off. Especially for those fitting on wall plates behind furniture. You just have to land the wrench on the fitting once so as long as you can reach it you can remove it. No more moving heavy dressers! I didnt notice how much it made my life easier until I lost mine. It took all of one hour of using a normal wrench before I was back on amazon One Day Shipping myself a new one.

We have two homes and two cable providers. The original wrench was great. I ordered a second wrench for our second home and love both. Being able to loosen or tighten the connection without having to turn, lift, attach and turn is great. I just turn the wrench and keep turning. All of this for about two or three turns. I keep the wrenches by the cable modem and router in each location.

This is easily my favorite tool in my toolpouch. Other speed-wrenches with a ratchet mechanism simply don't work with f connectors as the torque is too low to trigger the ratchet. This slip design is perfect as no matter how loose a connector is, it will never turn the connector the wrong way. The build quality is great and the price is even better. When you're climbing 20-30 feet up on utility pole, you're bound to lose a tool or two. If you ever lose this wrench, it's not the end of the world; it's at a price point that it won't hurt to buy another.

I have two types of speed wrenches, this one and one that I purchased that has a ratcheting end. I find myself using the ratcheting one more over this one because the head on the other one is a lot smaller and thinner. This one has more bulk to it and also requires more Arc to swing. This makes it difficult trying to remove f connectors off a multi-port splitter/tap vs my other one. It is however 100% better than using a standard wrench though. I use this one now for individual uses for when something is really cranked on tight. This thing does have a lot of grabbing power and will provide plenty of torque to remove over tightened or stuck fittings. I also use this to remove span clamps where the nut is just completely over torqued. All in all, a worthy tool to have in your arsenal.

what uses 7/16" hmmm...how about every rg6 and 11 connector? Pedestal screws? some tap and amp screws? It will differ in some places I'm sure, but for me this was a huge time saver, especially in winter with mitts on freezing like an icicle up at an 8-port aerial tap. Worth every penny.

Once your hand gets the flow of this wrench, it's almost impossible to use a regular wrench again. A "Must Have" for anyone working in coax.

Work in cable it's crazy how good it is. Recommend for any one in the industry

Big fan of this thing. It is a definite time saver and the angled head makes it much easier to get in tight spaces at taps and electrical panels. May order a 1/2" for rg11 connectors

This is a must if you're in the telecoms field. With our work space being so tight, the slipstyle ratchet makes tightening and loosening quick and easy. Definitetly cheapest on Amazon too.
