You have to buy the stronger needles as ordinary ones will just break

Can I sew canvas with this machine?

Yes the machine works well on all fabrics

why so expensive? Singer themselves are selling this at £249.95 at the moment oct 2020

My only guess is Singer have put their prices up due to covid19
