I had been wanting to buy this ice cream toy for a while after seeing something similar on TV, and I’m really glad we decided to get it. My son is 2 years old and he enjoys playing with it a lot. The toy comes with different ice cream scoops that can be stacked on the cones, which makes it great for imaginative play. My son is still a bit young to use the scoop tool properly, but he enjoys manually stacking the scoops and building his own ice cream combinations. It has also turned into a fun way to practice counting and colour recognition, as he likes to pick different scoops and stack them in different orders. The pieces feel well made and durable, which is important for toddler toys. They are easy for little hands to hold and stack. Considering the quality and the number of pieces included, I think this toy offers very good value for money. Overall, this is a fun and engaging toy for young children. It encourages creativity, stacking skills, and early learning through play. My son really enjoys it and I would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic play set. My little boy received this at christmas and plays with it often. I love that the icecream is magnetic with the scoop and the cute icecream tub to store them in.

4 yr old loves these, although may seem boring to an adult - a youngster can have so much fun. Add in play money and a till and you can teach the value of money too.

So disappointed with this. My son played with an ice cream stacking toy at a play cafe which was the perfect size, stacked so well, felt durable and I was so sure it was Mellisa and Doug because of the quality but apparently I thought wrong. The scoops of ice cream are giant plastic pieces that don’t feel high quality or heavy and they do not stack well, the magnets are not good enough to keep them stacked on top of each other. The box is totally unnecessary as it only holds the ice cream, not the cones. Everything feels flimsy and cheap, like something off of a cheap drop shipping website.

I want to start by stating this item is not worth the full RRP, I paid half price and I am glad I didn't spend a penny more! It's a cute toy, it's fun, it'll get used, but I was a little disappointed, that the storage box was plastic. On the listing, it states the items fit inside the ice cream tub for storage, they really don't. You could fit the 4 ice creams in or the two cones or the scoop. Scoop feels a little flimsy, like it won't keep hold of the ice cream and very easily knocked which could be frustrating for little ones trying to master the skill, and it easily drops the ice cream, but it is easy enough to use. I was also really disappointed that the ice creams are plastic, the tub is plastic. The only things wooden are the cones and scoop handle. I expected more premium products considering they're asking £29.99 for this usually. Id say it's suited for any young child, who enjoys role play based activities. Ideally between 2.5 - 6/7years.

Played with at a play village so we decided to get some for at home. The magnets are really really weak the ice creams don’t stack and hold just fall off one another which didn’t happen at the play area at all. Was really looking forward to receiving these but very disappointed. Wont be purchasing this brand again as these are pretty useless. I can only assume this is a bad batch….

Great quality and so much fun. This is an adorable set. It’s what you expect from Melissa and Doug. Seems durable.

Our 3 year old daughter really likes playing with this set but the only problem is that the magnets are pretty weak. The chocolate doesn't stick to the scoop at all. The others work pretty well, but I expected them to stick to the scoopers much more strongly. I was pretty disappointed when we first opened it on Xmas.

Great for kids from 2 to 5 years old

The magnetic feature of this ice cream scoop set was a hit with my kid. The scoops are a little heavy so it took just a little while for my 3 year old to get the hang of using it. But the quality is great and it looks like it’ll survive many many many play hours!
