I wanted to protect the screen on my DJI MINI 3 PRO RC unit. The STARTRC sun hood fits the DJI Mini 3 Pro RC precisely. It comes with the thumb screws to screw it to the screw holes on the back of the RC. The Sun Hood allows me to keep the RC control knobs screwed into the joysticks, so they aren't dropped and lost. It allows me to store the RC in the case without removing the knobs, protecting the entire RC. The hood has a total of 5 positions, which lock it into place, from totally flat to almost closed. It doesn't interfere with storage and fits into the case cutout. You can buy these as part of a set for the DJI MINI 3 PRO, but I found a lanyard that I liked, so I bought the shade separately. The shade is very reasonably priced and works well. The Sun Hood is for the RC with screen, used with the DJI Mini 3 Pro, NOT the RC2.

I got this for my husband and it has quickly become one of his favorite accessories for his DJI Mini 3. His favorite feature is that he no longer has to unscrew and remove the control sticks every time he puts the controller away. This cover fits right over them, which speeds up getting the drone in the air. It acts as a hard shell case for the screen and sticks, so he feels much safer throwing the controller into his bag without worrying about scratches or pressure damage. The hood works well to block glare on sunny days. It’s adjustable, so you can angle it to see the screen better, though in extremely bright/low-angle sun you might still get a little glare from the sides. It fits perfectly on the controller, but if you have a tight custom hard case with foam cutouts, you might need to trim the foam slightly to accommodate the extra bulk of this cover. Overall, a fantastic 2-in-1 accessory that is well worth it!

is item does exactly what its supposed to do. I recently brought the DJI mini 3 Drone and was flying it around in the middle of the day. Well with this colorado sun I definitely needed the star hood for my controller. Easy to install on the controller and definitely blocks the sun.

I fly my Mini 3 Pro in the mountains of Northern New Mexico. On sunny days, it can be very difficult to see the screen of my controller, even with an anti-glare screen protector installed. This hood is a HUGE improvement. The hood installs in a few minutes, no screwdriver required. It not only significantly reduces the glare on the screen, it also protects the screen and controller when it is closed. And, it fits in the DJI shoulder bag, along with my drone and battery pack. This is a no-brainer purchase for those who fly Mini 3 Pro drones in areas with bright sunlight.

Before having this i would struggle in bright sunlight. Great also that i dontnhave to remove the controllersticks,get up in the air quicker and less wear on the stick attachment. I have a sunnylyfe one and this is way better the joint goes a full 180 and is much better build than the sunnylife version. Best in market

Super cheap feeling, the hood clicks are loose and flimsy. Disappointed.

Accessoire à avoir absolument lorsque que l’on possède un radiocommande DJI RC. Cet accessoire à une double fonction : - Protection de l’écran - pare-soleil Très pratique lorsque l’on se déplace avec son drone. En position fermé, ce couvercle vient recouvrir entièrement la face avant (écran et joysticks). En position ouverte le couvercle se transforme un un excellent pare-soleil, permettant ainsi de garder une vue complète et exploitable du retour vidéo diffusé par le drone. Deux étiquettes sur les cotés permettent de lever facilement le couvercle. Le montage se fait très facilement et deux vis sont fournis afin de fixer le couvercle sur le radiocommande RC.
