Perfect luncheon or salad plates. These plates are the perfect size for a sandwich and a small dish of cultured vegetables or whatever you want to put beside it. We have used it for scrambled eggs in the morning, skillets with fried potatoes, salads, etc. I had purchased some similar dishes previously, and like them so much that I looked for another like it. This was a great purchase. I have multiple sets for when company comes. They fit nicely in the dishwasher and come out perfect. At a nice weight these plates do not “feel fragile“. While they will likely break if you drop them, they don’t have a cheap feel. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. I am looking for slightly larger dinner plates with a similar profile. delighted customer.

We bought these as watercolor palettes. They should work well for this. The unglazed bottom rims are slightly rough, and would scratch a finished surface. This is very easy to fix with fine sandpaper or a knife sharpening stone.

Its a modern piece but a little smaller than I anticipated. I bought these for my restaurant to use as starter plates.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Price

These are not very well made dishes. They must have been made in a rustic factory of some kind. Almost like they were hand pressed on molds and dried in the sun on a sidewalk type of thing. The glaze has lots of flaws but fortunately most of the dishes remain sanitary so they are still of use. The edges on some are rough and the glaze had bubbles that did not quite fill in when it melted in the kiln, making them unhugenic The foot of some of the dishes have kiln shelf or part of another dish stuck/ melted to them or stuck to them. When you stack these they do not make a nice stack. The angle of the edges varies from one dish to another making them appear handmade or like those left over from many sets.
