Got my package on time & I'm very happy with it. It's size & light weight makes it so convenient to carry it around with me everywhere I go. I share it with my husband so we can both read the menus; it's so hard to read in these restaurants with bad lighting & small print. I use it everyday from reading recipe measurements (especially the fractions) & reading some of the receipts at work. I may need to break down & buy one for my husband!

Not 8X, more like 5X. I can’t believe how poorly this was made. Parts to assemble doesn’t even fit the cheap cardboard box it came in, no instructions, no brand, nothing, just poorly taped together with foam. The glass lens came not just dirty, but scratched. The base weight support infill is just clay/cement that is not even screwed and sealed properly. Meaning it doesn’t just have dents on top from the screw, but also the loose soil/dirt all over the box and parts.$35.00 + Tax for something that could should cost $18.00. This thing was clearly assembled in someones garage. I thought I just got a used version, and requested a replacement ,but to my surprise the replacement came in worst condition. I really don't know how a product like this has so many positive reviews. It doesn't make any sense at all.

She was happy to used to see clearly. She loves to go over the book and other things.

I hate to write bad reviews on products that work "well" but not for the use I intended.Now that I am (ahem) getting a bit older, it is harder to read with contacts. And I DO like to do a crossword or two at lunch.But to do that, I need to be able to see the numbers for the clues - and that just isn't as easy as it once was.If you look straight down the middle, the magnification is good - but that doesn't help me.Every time I manouevre the gooseneck to position the screen, it comes undone or tips over.So, while I am sure it is good for something - it is not good for my needs.

Its working so far. I like that I can just plug out into a usb instead of having to buy batteries - although the cord is about 8 inches long, so a portable phone recharger works good with it. The 3 different lighting options are nice too.

This is perfect for what I need, very light weight!!! Would suggest to friends.

it works, I can use it for magnification. Doesn't stay in it's base and falls out.Also you are stuck with portrait mode and it's difficult to use landscape. Yes I am talking about a magnifying glass.Made of plastic, won't break when it falls out of the base.

Base isn't heavy enough to support arm and attached viewing screen. Also the end of the arm that attaches to the base doesn't have clips long enough to even reach the locking tabs. I want to return the product but doesn't give me any reasonable return options.

I'll be 80 next year and I'm having difficulty reading small print. The problem has been solved with this product. :-)
