Review: Informative - Bought this book to help grand daughtersโ with their school and homework. It was very useful and informative. Review: Home learning support - My 8 year old taken on interest in art during pandemic. We already bought a book about 13 painters kids should know and 13 paintings. We really enjoyed this book about art movements, helps you to piece together knowledge from previous books: painters with their art and the style. Not too complicated language, well put together.

Art Movements
Really nice, full color pictures. Good information as well as a timeline to help understand when things were done. Also has a brief synopsis of each movement with the bare basics to remember. My kids enjoy this book.

Great Series
I like this series, they're interesting to read and very colorful. My only complaint is that occasionally they will make a headline on the right side of the page but meanwhile the information will start on on the left side of the page. It's a bit confusing when you turn a page and think that you're continuing to read about the previous subject.

Great selections for a brief synopsis of key art history movements.
Along with others in this series I used it for a brief overview of art history in HS art classes I teach. The illustrations and works choices are way better than the state approved text book, and when they do read it, much better written. This one is also suitable for JH I think if you want to cover a bit of art history in your classes. Not in a a story format so I never used it with my elementary ones back in the day when I taught pre-k through HS.
