Candle by the Hour 80-Hour Citronella Candle Refill, Eco-friendly Natural Beeswax with Cotton Wick,Yellow

This was a refill for an earlier purchased product. The wax quality is excellent. Appearance and size are perfect for the holder I use and I was more than happy with the burn quality and durability. I purchased this after many unsatisfactory results from other candles like it with the cinnamon one being particularly bad. I now subscribe for these.

REWRITTEN Feb 2023 ================= I have purchased this twice; one for a red refill, and recently a green refill. Both seem to burn a bit fast; I'm not sure that I'll get 80 hours out of it, but I'll purchase the refill when needed. Both the red and green wax is pretty soft; that makes it easy to shape, but I have had issues with the candle sticking to the holder. Oddly enough, the red candle was pretty much dripless, but I've had nothing but major leaks, drips, and messes with the green candle. I purchased it to have a candle going when I'm working in the room; even when I pull out 2-3 inches, it burns through that pretty quickly. I'm pretty happy with the red, but the green has been unacceptable. I forgot to look for alternatives this time; hopefully, I will next time.

I ordered the whole set last august and it was wonderful. I went through the first coil so i reordered a second one and it wasn’t the same at all as the first one. The second one that came was way different in color and definitely seemed artificial. It had an extremely fake perfumey scent you could smell from 6 feet away. I noticed on the new box it says “made WITH beeswax” when it should say JUST beeswax. Not sure what happened but definitely won’t be re-ordering. 👎🏼

It really does last about 80 hours and the smell of beeswax is clean and natural. Combined with the auto-snuffing candle holder, I love that we can "program" the candle to burn for around 20 minutes in the evening.

This is advertised as beeswax and it is nothing of the kind - it is the same off-white stuff that cheap penny candles are made of. It also stinks to high heaven which is not surprising as the box states "RED CINNAMON" - and that is NOT mentioned in the description.

I have not lit it yet but the smell from it is SO STRONG. My whole house has the smell of it just from taking it out of the box. This is not like the original candle that came with the frame. I will not be ordering this again.

We have purchased probably 5 or 6 refills for this candle holder over the years and have always been very happy with them. This time we purchased 2 refills and both of them drip wax everywhere! (see pic) None of the other refills we've had have dripped at all. I don't know what's changed. Maybe they aren't 100% beeswax anymore as they claim? Maybe the wicks? Maybe the manufacturing process? Maybe just a bad batch? Whatever the reason, we are very disappointed with these refills and most likely won't be buying them again.

I have been buying 80 hr refill candles for a couple of years. Initially none were scented. Earlier this year of the refills were scented - vanilla. I buy unscented products as I have sensitivities to most scents. My last order of 2 refills were unscented. I was pleased. Hopefully in the future I will continue to received unscented refills. Thank you.
