Swedish Ice Scraper - 6mm Black with Neoprene Holder

This ice scraper works really well, takes the ice off nice and easy. Nice to hold in my hands with the soft handle. Feels very sturdy and got a nice case for it as well. Best one I have used, would recommend for the extra value.

I have waited a while to review this as I wanted to see how it worked with varying degrees of frost and ice on the windscreen. I have to say this is the best ice scrapper ever. To be fair the only ones I had before this are the £1 jobbies from Halfords. With this one it clears the ice of the windscreen so easily, with the previous type I was going back and forth over the windscreen multiple times, with this one I only have to scrap in one direction and the ice comes away. Have tried this with a double frost where there are 2 layers of ice on the windscreen and it worked in one motion. It is effectively just a thick piece of plastic at a basic description but works so well. The neoprene holder was not actually necessary but I didn't know that before buying, still the holder keeps the scrapper safe in the glovebox. To sum up, it clears the ice quickly with less effort, it is comfortable enough to hold and is well engineered.

I live above the Arctic circle in Norway and I gotta be really honest with you, this is perhaps the best ice scraper I ever used in my entire life, the stuff that we have here in Norway is usually cheap plastic cards and icescrapers bought at gas stations, but the Swedish Ice Scraper is the only one that I ever used which can actually scrape ice in one motion! Even at -30 degrees and a fully frozen window, it cuts through the ice effortlessly and its made out of plastic, the weight of the icescraper also helps, its not awkward to hold either. The fact that you can clear your entire front window on your car in less than 10 swipes, is in itself exceptionally time saving feature to have where regular icescrapers may require 40 to 50 swipes and even then they tend to leave these streaks behind because they never get proper grip on the ice. I must say that if the Swedish Ice Scraper had been more readily available outside Amazon, it honestly easily be 6 out of 6 but its very difficult to acquire outside UK and that means extra shipping and VAT prices which makes this, a VERY expensive ice scraper, however - having owned this one for a while now I must say - it does seem to hold up quite well so it could be reasonable investment to make for long term ownership specially considering the time it saves you scraping your windows on your car daily basis. I wish I was lying but this icescraper actually HALVES your time spent clearing your car windows, so instead of 10 minutes, you be spending 5 minutes, that matters when you are in a hurry - it works even better if you preheat the car for a while, it also turns the ice into this shaved ice which is really easy to get rid of, normal icescrapers tend to leave more of a powder residue that sticks back to the window - this may been intended design or just a coincidence but details like this actually matter - I been scraping my car free from ice for 14 years now and frankly, I feel pain in my soul that this product is not more readily available in Scandinavia, a country where this product would make more sense than UK.

This is a lovely stylish ice scraper that really does the job whilst being extremely aesthetically pleasing. This is honestly the best ice scraper I've ever used and does the job quickly and efficiently - it's just what you need on a cold frosty winter's morning! Although quite expensive as ice scrapers go I love the fact that it's so compact and has it's own slipcase - easily stored in glovebox or handbag. I've gifted a number of these over the years and they're always well received.

Great product. Other reviews suggested product was poorly designed as had broken/snapped. Suspect reviewer of using too much pressure at wrong angle hence breakage. Product worked extremely well and provided me with best frozen screen clearance in decades. Buy the cover too as provided handy dry storage for damp scraper after use. Well worth the extra cost. 👍 Good value. Use correctly and you’ll have no problems!

I've been using this for years it still works brilliantly.

Not much needs to be said. For the UK this is more than adequate. Given the freezing temps we have been getting this has been worth its weight in gold. Sturdy build with a good weight makes fast work of ice, just don't forget to put the heater on blast inside. It is comfortable in the hand, and due to the bright colouring, its not easy to loose, even when dropped in the snow. 5/5 - would recommend to friends and family

Very slick design, sits well in your hand so is easy to handle, and looks like it will last many years. Haven’t had a particularly heavy frost yet to really test it out but it dealt amazingly quickly with the lightish frost we had a couple of days after it arrived. Also haven’t tried out the notch for clearing wiper blades, but I certainly feel like that is a great design feature. So far, so good. Only minor negative is that it is quite tricky to get in and out of the neoprene sleeve for storage. Might get easier after a few uses and is only a mild annoyance if it doesn’t, although if you have to use the scraper more than once a day I can see it being the catalyst for some inanimate object rage.

What's the worst thing about ice scrapers? As soon as you need to use them to actually chip away anything more than thin frost, the plastic gets pitted and you'll never be able to clean more than a few little lines at a time. Useless! The edges on this have stood up to various uses so far this winter, and even if one side starts to get damaged, there are three more. The only downside is that, with no handle, it doesn't reach as far as others. But I'm only 5'2" and I can reach almost as much of the windshield on my Corolla as I can with other ice scrapers. I can clear enough to be able to drive without having to waste the gas to warm up the car for 10 minutes.

Bonne prise en main et vraiment efficace pour retirer le givre.

Stabiler Eiskratzer. Macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck und tut was er soll. Handschuhe sollte man aber tragen, sonst wird's kalt.
