Are these soft enough for a runny nose? Would they hold up.

They are not too soft out of the box, but I think they will soften after a few washes. I use them for a runny nose:-)

Ladies are they absorbent?

YES these are absorbent; however, they benefit from several washings. The first few times you use them they are not like using a paper kleenex. They need a little use and time, and they become softer and more absorbent with every use. I love them; they are the hankies of my childhood. I enjoy putting a drop of essential oil on mine. They wash well and colors hold. They are also just the right size.

Rate the absorbancy: 1=not very, 2=decent, 3=good, 4= excellent

#4, the hankies are great, a good size and my daughter loves them. For some reason she can't use kleenex tissues, they irritate her nose, so she prefers the cotton hankies, and these were excellent.

So soft and perfect!!

I honestly love these so much, I was looking for something I can carry and not use a box of tissues all the time. They do come really stiff so I say wash them a few times, but after that they are soooo soft on the face. There’s just something so comforting about a soft hankie. Definitely worth the cost. The colors are vivid and each one is well made.

Nice little hanky

These have been wonderful. They are so pretty and not too big. I get hot easily and I need something to wipe my face and neck. These absorb well, but they are small and it doesn't take a whole lot before they are wet. They are not very soft, even after washing. With that said, I still prefer these over what I call the big Farmer Handkerchiefs. Although the Farmer Handkerchiefs that I have were softer than these. These are the ones I carry around and I will probably buy more when these wear out.

I really like the pattern, they are well made, although: they have been washed 4 times and are really stiff and not soft on the nose! Will try washing them a few more times.
