This generator cover was super easy to assemble, the instructions that came with it were clear and easy to understand. I did have to order a replacement because the first cover that arrived was missing one of the metal pieces. I initiated a return through Amazon and had a replacement within 2-3 days. I packaged up the first one and returned it via one of Amazon's remote locations. The replacement cover was not missing anything and it was in perfect unused condition. The cover fits very well if a little bit large. We can probably securite it more tightly using additional hardware, the zipties that were included just doesn't hold it still. Our generator is a Predator 9000 and the metal frame does fit down over it, the fabric covers completely covers it but the metal frame fits very loose. I don't have any doubt that we can find some hardware the frame more securely. I like that the fabric cover offers multiple zippers and fasteners to allow easy access to plug-ins or the fuel tank. This generator cover will be very beneficial in the near future during the many camping trips we plan on taking it on.

I decided on the subject line because in looking at the product photos and the near $100 price tag I thought this was going to be the full frame and wheeled cart as seen in the pics but no, this is a flat top frame to sit atop your generator/cart (already owned) that offers a canvas that drapes over the sides to protect the generator from rain, snow, wind, or whatever environmental factors may be at play (the ones likely causing you to have cranked up your generator in the first place). The frame sits on top your system and the cover is able to be customized and rolled up to provide access or ventilation depending on your needs. The product is well made, the metal piping used as the frame is strong and should withstand whatever you throw at it. The canvas itself is also made of heavy fabric and gives you the option to customize each of the four sides by rolling them up or down. I didn't have any problem assembling the frame in about 10 minutes with no tools required. The canvas cover secures to the frame and is adjustable through several pull strings, zip ties (included), zippers and clips - so you have plenty of options to fit this to your needs while not sacrificing any integrity of how it connects to the frame. This is made from larger generators that already have a frame, as compared to my smaller portable Honda generator. I could have read more detail but very much let the pictures mislead me. One piece of feedback would be that the stickers used to identify the pipes apparently rub each other and transfer themselves to different pipes during transport, so when assembling the frame I found some parts had no stickers while others had multiple. Fortunately there are only two pipes that are of similar length and the others are very different sizes, so looking at the pictures in the instructions and using a little deductive reasoning this in the end didn't slow down the process of putting it together or cause me to make any mistakes where I had to disassemble and rebuild. I think some people may be more disadvantaged if this were to happen to them, however. In the end this is well made, strong and sturdy, and should last for some time. Ideally this will help keep your generator clean during its time in storage which is a bonus utility for anyone making the purchase. Unfortunately this was not what I thought it was, or what I wanted/needed but for people with a larger machine that already necessitates a frame I anticipate this being a smart accessory to include in your backup power system.
