Baller burr!
Ok, so this burr worked even better than I had hoped. I was carving into dense resin to try and reclaim a fudged piece and this tool made the job much easier! Very happy how it went through the materials and very controllable; as I thought the burrs might catch and grab a bit more. Nope! Great design. And it held up great with no visible dulling of the points/burrs.

Quickly tear into your piece
My wife wants to make a candle out of a birch log from a tree we cut down last year. I decided to get this ball to carve out the cavity instead of using one of my discs. I can honestly say, this made easy work of removing material. Attached to my Hercules grinder I carved out the cavity of the birch log in about 15 - 20 mins. I had no issues with the ball skipping or gauging the material. I have always been a fan of Kutzall products. They are the burrs and discs I reach for, whenever I am grinding.

Great little bit
This is a great bit for my rotary tool. I may add a finer one.

Beware Of Size Variation
This is a really great tool for removing large amounts of material. I happen to be using it on wood. The little spikes remain very sharp even after significant use. It does tend to clog easily, so have a brush handy to clear the material from between the spikes. WARNING ABOUT SIZE...... I ordered a 1" thinking that the outside diameter is 1 inch; it is not. It appears that the 1" measurement is the diameter of the ball that the spikes are attached to. I suppose the correct term is root diameter; I just wish I had known that. If you measure across the ball from tip to tip, it's about 1.16 inches (it is difficult to get great accuracy due to all the pointed tips.) In summary, if you are using one of these to enlarge a hole, be sure you are clear on the actual outside diameter of this tool. The tool itself is great quality.

Aggressive!
I do a lot of power carving and Kutzall bits are unquestionably the best. Definitely get what you pay for with some tools, and this is a prime example of quality isn’t expensive, it’s priceless.

Spoonmaking
I use this burr making spoons and cups for hard wood. It's a champ, but use personal protection and stay safe! Its a serious burr that will get the job done!

Very effective cutter
It was bought to try to smooth the inside of a hand carved spoon in which the chisel marks in pear wood were difficult to remove. it was used in a regular drill, and was very effective at removing material, smoothed out the surface to a sand-able state. I'd compare the 'grit' of this tool to about a #5-10 coarseness.

Game changer for the amateur woodworker
Not sure whether it's worth paying the premium for the smaller bits that I've bought from this brand, but for this big boy it's well worth the money. Good bit of kit that will grind off pretty much anything - you will then need to put the yards in with 120 grit for sound detailing in hard to reach areas. Lee L - no it doesn't. This is because your wood has excessive moisture content and/or you're being too aggressive with it.
