It’s been my go to item for the last one week. I have 2MO twins and I’m sleep deprived and tired to rock and sing them to sleep every hour. This is a small box with good volume. The moment any of them starts crying I just grab and turn this on and they sleep within 5 minutes. Also helps me drown out the noise of one baby crying while the other sleeps. Since it’s a small toy like device I can place it anywhere at any angle to direct the sound towards the baby. I don’t use the volume at high. Just medium works good. I love the white noise, ocean, brook and rain forest. I’m a little concerned about the reviews that says it stops working after a while. I can’t do without this little helper, so hopefully mine doesn’t break soon. Just in case I’ll be ordering a back up. Love the size, sound and timer option!

OBSESSED! I am a 31 year old, with no children, who loves naps and a good nights sleep with a snoring husband. This tiny machine is a GAME CHANGER! I can set it on my lunch break for 30 min and tune out all the noises around and fall instantly asleep its like a mental meditation the sound just takes everything away and relaxes you. Yes, I do have relaxing apps on my phone, but i dont want to have the sound blasting on my phone so i would have to turn it down when using the app, which means i can't hear my cell alarm to wake me. So having something separate from my phone works perfect for me. Its battery operated too which is a bonus! I can also stick it by my pillow when my husband snores to drown him out lol I was so impressed I bought 2 and want to buy more for gifts! Im hooked.

For the most part I really enjoy this product. I don't remember which water sound it is,but it sounds like water boiling. Not something I can sleep to. Lol the rest are pretty good. This was a good product for a low price. Great for travel

This little guy is a life SAVER!! I just have birth to beautiful baby girl, but at any point in time she was in a room that was quiet she would be wide awake and active. I got absolutely no sleep at night or during the day if I wanted to take a nap. So after reading many many blogs and chatting with other Moms, it was suggested to me that I should buy a noise machine. Knowing that we would be traveling soon to visit family I needed something that would be easy for me stow away in my bags, and THIS WAS IT!!! I love that this is battery powered (3 AA Batteries), and is loud enough to cover the voices of my noisey neighbors and dogs in our duplex neighborhood. The volume range can also allow me to have the machine low enough so that it wouldn't disturb our roommate or my mother when she was visiting. After a week of using this, my daughter now sleeps soundly at night (for 3 week old baby) and it also helps my boyfriend and I sleep a little easier. This is something that I recommend to new mother's and those that just the background noise to not only relax but get a restful night of sleep.

My younger son wanted a white noise machine to help him sleep better. I figured the Big Red Rooster portable machine was only $15, so what the hey, worth a try. I didn't realize how small it would be! Once I saw the size of the package, I did wonder whether I'd made a mistake. But I was pleasantly surprised when we put in batteries and tried it out. The machine has eight sound options, and both sound quality and volume are far better than I was expecting. I have no idea how fast it will go through batteries, but just for ease of use and quality of sound, I give it five stars. I love the timer function, too - set it for an hour, and my son is usually out well before it turns off. The controls are easy to understand and use, and should we be traveling, it's certainly small enough to tuck into a suitcase. Highly recommend!

Love this white noise machine. Use it for our baby to nap and we take it with us whenever we travel overnight somewhere. Love that it has volumes and additional sounds. Love that it has a timer. Since it's battery ran we have used this overnight all night and it lasts about 30 hours before we have to replace the batteries. We have bought rechargable ones. As long as you don't want all night every night noise machine and use it leisurely to travel, it's amazing. We have dropped it a couple times too and it durable and has not been. Great product for the price. Wish it could plug in if we needed it to, but even though it doesn't I still use it every day for our little girl.

My first unit started to glitch on me within 2 weeks of purchasing. (Shutting off less than 2 minutes after being turned on, changing sounds, not accepting brand new batteries. Like, I put brand new batteries in the machine and it wouldn’t turn on.) Had an email in my inbox from the owner asking me to review the product. Expressed my dissatisfaction and he immediate said he would send me a new unit free of charge. That’s what the second star is for. Like, at least they tried. But the second unit is having the same if not worse problems. Shutting off, not accepting new batteries, changing settings on me, sometimes I can’t even turn it on with batteries that I know are still fresh. Disappointing. Sometimes it starts working again if I let it sit but this is the noise machine I use to help my teething 5 month old sleep so I need something reliable. I loved the size/portability and sound/volume was easy to control. But something must have changed in production for the quality to decline so quickly.

I purchased this white noise machine after my son spent the night at his Gramma’s and found hers to be helpful with falling asleep. She shared this brand with me and that she had purchased it from Amazon. I didn’t hesitate in buying it because the price was certainly right. My son has trouble falling asleep at night and he reports that this helps him seal the deal faster. He sets the machine’s timer for 60 minutes each night and finds the ocean sound to be most soothing. The machine is smaller than I expected; it fits in the palm of my hand. I only left one star off my rating because I wish it had an a/c adapter so it could be plugged in as well as using batteries. Otherwise, it’s super effective and a great buy for the money!
