I Like This Bug Zapper
I replaced my old bug zapper, which had a similar design but was damaged, with a broken plastic grille and failed bulbs after one and a half summers. It was also noisy, startling my dog with every zap. The new bug zapper is much quieter, producing only a faint sizzle when a bug is caught, often going unnoticed. Unlike my old zapper with two bright purple UV bulbs, this one includes two dimmer UV bulbs in different spectrums (one of which is vvvvery dim) and comes with a set of replacement bulbs for when they eventually fail. I expect it to last about three summers with constant use. The bulbs are dimmer, less noticeable at night, and I store the spares in their box, taped to the zapper for safekeeping. My old zapper struggled with small flies like fruit flies, but this one excels, eliminating six flies within the first 30 minutes of use. It offers two hanging options: a white leather handle, which I prefer for placing it on a high surface, and a metal chain, which I’ve stored with the spare bulbs. The design is a nice touch. Occasionally, a burnt smell arises when a bug is zapped for too long, unlike the old zapper, which flung bugs away, often leaving them alive and buzzing annoyingly. This zapper kills bugs instantly, and any smell is minor. It includes a plastic cleaning brush for safely cleaning the electrified metal to stop sizzling. I tried using it in my video but I was recording and one-handed lol Priced at around forty bucks, the same as my old zapper, this one offers more features and is simple to use—just unpack, plug in, and flip a switch. If it proves durable, I’ll buy it again.

Nearly silent! absolutely worth every penny. Kills WAY more bugs than my old zapper.
This is by far the best bug zapper I've ever found. The blacklight is extremely effective at attracting houseflies. And the zapping grid is almost silent. It says "50% less noise" that's WAY underselling it. There is no annoying loud SNAP! that you get with normal bug zappers. Just a tiny little bzzz sound. You can barely hear it! It's an absolute blessing because it doesn't scare my pets anymore or make me jump. That alone makes this thing worth it's weight in GOLD.

Great Zapper
This is a great effective zapper, the light isnt too bright and the zap isnt so loud it would keep you up at night. But it is extremely effective, when i first set it up I saw a wasp building a nest and when I smacked the nest off the ceiling the wasp went into the zapper. The only thing is there is a strong burning smell when it zaps bugs but guess thats normal not sure first bug zapper I purchased. Comes with a set of replacement bulbs.

Does not work well on moths
This is a great bug zapper and it is very quiet. It does attract the insects, but I bought it for a small moth infestation at our cabin. The moths are attracted to it, but they don't go in. I woke up this morning and there were 7 or 8 moths sitting on the outside the zapper. I took 1 star away for that reason only.

Highly Recommended!
This is hands down the best zapper we've ever had! We live in the south, and gnats and flies fly in whenever we open a door. We purchased different devices over the years which worked okay. However this one started working the moment I turned it on. With other zappers, the gnats often escaped as well as some flies. Not so with this one. When a fly rushes in, I think, "You don't want to come here!" So far its been just a matter of time, before they end up in the zapper.

Get this one
Over the past year and a half I've gone through a series of products for killing bugs around my apartment in different phases I bought this one as a response to an ongoing issue with flies/nats coming into my house as my door is near a giant tree where they're easily attrracted. Especially during the summer they are relentless in coming in through the home. This one is the next generation of the previous product they had that also works just as effectively but doesn't scare you half to death when the flies get attracted to the light. I have owned 4 different kinds of bug killers, 2 from this brand/type, another that was a cylinder kind as one of my first ones, and a hybrid between a bug zapper and a fly swatter. Out of all 4 of those, this and the previous product by far did some serious heavy lifting for killing everything under the sun my apartment. The benefit to this particular one is that it is using a new type of violet ray on the top that is just as effective as the previous generation without being as bright, but I still would recommend keeping this away from your bedroom if you can't stand any light since it gets pretty bright at night. It is way quieter as well. You can still hear when bugs get zapped but it is nothing like the previous model they had before. This is one you can keep near your bedroom and not get jump scared like the previous model

Poor quality and terrible design - Nearly impossible to change bulbs that frequently go out
Come on Amazon - I am getting so tired of this trash. The bug zapper I bought less than a year ago died and early death, so I try again with a model priced higher. Arrived in less than one day. Fine, but I don't care. Reasonably priced - I would gladly pay 3x the price if a quality product was available. For this zapper, I have no idea if it works. The quality coming out of the box was not impressive. The bulbs would not turn on right out of the box. Fine, I see they said bulbs can shift during shipping. So I look at the instructions and attempt to follow them. Now I have a whole garage full of tools, but I had to hunt and hunt for a tiny screwdriver of unknown head description that would fit the tiny screw tunnels. Finally found and impossibly skinny, odd and long screwdriver and somehow got the screws out. Adjusted the bulbs - still won't light. So I wait a while to make sure the capacitors empty and try again with the included spare bulbs. No luck. It's DOA. It really doesn't matter because it was probably going to be returned anyway. Obviously the zapper needs new bulbs from time to time - they even include extras. So why are the screws impossibly small? Worse, if you can get the back unscrewed and the bulbs changed, I really don't know if I would ever get the screws back in. I tried for 20 minutes just to see if I was going to return or request a replacement. Why such a terrible design for something that must happen to keep the device functional? Like too much Amazon equipment, even if this had worked out of the box, this zapper looks like it would have died within a year. (I am sure the difficulty opening the back is to protect children from easily opening the back. I not and engineer but I can think of a dozen ways to keep hands out of the 'zap' area and still allow the bulbs to be changed with reasonable ease. This product completely fails.)

BEST zapper hands down
This is the best bug zapper I’ve ever owned and I have tried a LOT of bug killing products. I live in Puerto Rico, so a very hot humid climate, and keeping flies of all varieties out of the house is a constant battle. This thing has been very effective in keeping gnats/drain flies at bay. It’s very quiet, I only hear the occasional sizzle when large flies make their way in there. It’s perhaps too effective, as we had one unfortunate incident with a lizard who condemned himself to the electric chair. He effectively fried the top bulb and while a replacement was provided, getting to the tiny screws that hold the back panel on has proven to be tricky. Easier bulb change and maybe something to prevent non-insects from getting in would be good upgrades for the future. We have toddlers so also happy to report no small fingers getting into the zapper. I would get another one of these should I need it - it’s aesthetically pleasing and gets the job done!

Zeer effectief

Useless for house flies 🪰
Disappointing 😔 Low sound yes Kills mosquitoes- yes - but mosquitoes are rarely a problem in Ireland! BUT.. DOES NOT kill house flies, which is what I bought it for!! Zaps them and stuns them but tbey keep reviving only to get re-zapped and on it goes 😢

¡FUNCIONA!
