WTS Products Chinese 3 Piece Mug with infuser. [Nine Dragons] CZ

I think these are factory seconds as the lid is slightly chipped, yet glazed over so the damage was done at manufacture level and not transit or with the store handling the item. Otherwise a beautiful tea cup depicting 9 dragons. One star deducted as not 100% but still beautiful.

An excellent mug. Although the filter bit has fairly wide slots, so finer tea particles do finish up in the mug (but they seem to sink harmlessly to the bottom anyway and form mud). Somehow, Chinese or Japanese tea seems to taste better from a mug covered with dragons. Cleaning out the filter is a bit of an onerous task, but many oriental teas may be brewed two or even three times from the same leaves. (Which as a cheapskate, suits me down to the ground). Also as a point of interest (maybe everybody but me already knows this), many oriental teas are best made with water at 80 degrees C, rather than boiling. This results in a less bitter taste as boiling water does something nasty to delicate teas. If you don't have a posh kettle with select-able temperatures, put a bit of cold water in, before the hot, it does make a real difference. Anyway, at this price for 9 dragons, it is a bargain.
