I would highly recommend this book to anyone starting off on this subject. Only having watched a few videos on the NLP, which would gloss over the subjects,this book goes in to great detail with real world scenarios. I am absolutely immersed in this book only having read 30% it to date.

Book was damaged on the back the sleeve was crumpled but it's not that big if a deal to me though

I'm 25% of the way through, and far enough to know that this is a well structured, in-depth, but accessible guide to NLP. I've read some other books as introductions to NLP (eg. How to take charge of your life by Richard Bandler) so the Dummies Guide is not my 1st encounter. My view is the Dummies Guide could be overwhelming for a newcomer to NLP. However, for those wanting a comprehensive 'manual' this is excellent.

You may or may not agree with the techniques or theory of NPL, it is not everyone's cup of tea and there is a potential to abuse the skills learned for manipulation Well explained though and clarifies theory and the way it works.

Excellent book. Even if you are an NLO practitioner, it is an excellent reference book to have on your shelf

Don't be fooled. This may be a Dummies book but it is well written and informative. The authors explain and introduce NLP competently. The Dummies format helps to reduce the psychobabble and keeps the concepts understandable. If you are interested in NLP this is a good place to start.

I bought it to learn how to change the way I think about things and it has helped, I did not buy it to manipulate people and there's a lot of that covered.

This book is a good introduction to the concept and practice of neuro-linguistic programming. It is a version that is made for "dummies" like me. Romila Ready started by defining what NLP is, and how it helps a person in daily life. I like concepts like 'clean language' that she introduced in the second half of the book. The overall 'Dummies' structure of clearly highlighting anecdotes, giving jargon alerts, highlighting warnings etc., is good. There are some good concepts and material in the book, but there is also a lot of verbiage. At the end, I was just glad that the book was coming to an end!
