WALL LENKLSP-60-1 SOLDERPRO 60 3-in-1 Butane Powered Soldering Iron & Blow Torch

I bought this to replace my radio shack branded soldering irons which I love but always eventually seemed to leak where the clear butane reservoir meets the body. This from what I read in other reviews is essentially the same soldering iron but with a single piece body. I have only had this for a few months but so far it is everything I loved about my old Radio Shack branded iron and none of the issues. I do kind of miss the clear tank to keep an eye on the fluid level but I have just started topping it off after I am done working and it has cooled, which should work just fine for my purposes. I have used other various brands of butane soldering irons in the past and I think I have a new favorite, I can't recommend this one enough.This  Iso-Tip #7971 SolderPro 50 Butane Soldering Iron  is essentially the exact same as the Radio Shack soldering iron that I used in the past and I considered getting one until I found this Wall Lenk version, and so far it seems like it is going to be a winner. After using nothing but Portasol soldering irons for years, I decided to get buy something cheap for my vacation home. I didn't feel the need to spend $100 on a soldering iron for the few jobs I may need it for. This one was a pain to get lit and adjusted. Once it was lit and the flame went away, it worked fine. Did not get hot enough on its highest setting to melt the solder I had available. I had to run out to the store and get some smaller flux core that ended up working. I guess if you want something cheap, this will work. If you have ever used a Portasol, you might look elsewhere.

I already have a soldering station to meet any critical needs. I needed something cordless to do random trailer/automotive work without any hassle from extension cords. I was looking around at other products in the $30-$100 range then pondered at my actual needs. I paid $18 for this soldering iron and bottle of fuel. So far I have done a full trailer light wiring, installed 2 LED light bars, and, 1 dual custom speaker box and amplifier into my truck. Amazing little thing, 3 in 1 uses; -soldering iron, -hot air heater for shrink wrap, and -open flame (used it to tin 0 gauge wire and installing ferrules on car audio). As far as durability, really don’t care, would definitely buy again.

Good little torch, I work on guitars and a lot of times I would rather use a butane torch rather than an electric gun. This torch is small, just right for my projects. I have one that is half again longer than this torch but sometimes small is better. Works really well I have been through 3 tanks of fuel so if was going to mess up it would have by now.

This is my first butane soldering rod. I decided to go cheap because I only solder every now and then. It heats up pretty quick and does the job for the price. I can't complain, just wish it had a way to determine how much butane is in it.

My first butane torch/soldering iron. I didn't want to buy an expensive one just to find out that I did not like it. I am happy with this one. I just wish it came in a case of some kind. I ordered a plain pistol case and lined it with some shipping foam and now I store the soldering iron, a bottle of butane, solder, mesh cleaners, and a solder sucker in it for about $7. So far it works great to reflow smaller joints on boards and to solder together wires. Granted, most of the work I have done is small electronics.

Pretty Solid. I bought one of these off amazon two or 3 years ago and it's been used a lot as it is multiple tools in one, used and abused and still works relatively well. If I was writing this review on the first one I purchased only it would be a 5 star review hands down. However, I was hoping for a repeat performance and with the 2nd one just received about a week ago, it's not as consistent and I'm having some issues. Made in China(unless you have your own factory) means inconsistent quality control quite often. So first one gets 5 star, second 2.5 maybe, average score close enough to 4 stars. I will try some purer, cleaner butane and amend my review of the product if that solves the problems...hopefully it will.

This works well.I've only used for soldering, not the heat blower or torch functions.Only issue, that apparently is normal, is that a lot of butane sprays out while you are filling it.Someone suggested that happens when it is full. Maybe correct.

Great little device for the electrical tool box and it has been working just fine for however long I've had it (?months). Used it a dozen times on small projects.

This is another must tool for every motorcycle travel tool kit.. I have now had to use this to repair and replace faulty wiring connectors and solder joints while on the road at least three times this past summer. First because I needed to repair a faulty switch connection for myself, BUT when others saw what I had they quickly begged to use it. Keeping it in a cloth bag, (not included with the torch ), some soldering paste, some toothpicks, and some low melt electronics solder will serve you 'on the road' for a very long time. It is well made, easy to light as either a torch or an iron, and stores compactly into itself. If some rider you know doesnt have one of these... then get it and give it !

great butane soldering iron for the price. I use my battery powered hakko mostly and this when I need the extra heat.... or I screw the tip of and use this as a heat gun for shrink tubing. foot stand is extremely thin and I wish that was a tad stronger, but it works so I'm happy.

Haven’t had this for very long and the lever that you push to allow gas flow on/off sticks now so you really have to push it to start. Stopped using it for that reason.

As someone who only solders every once in a while I found this to be a very handy tool. I have no issues with it so far, it heats up quickly and I was able to wire everything for car stereo without having to refill the butane. As far as the flint striker in the cap goes, I have no issues whatsoever. Actually, I don't think there has been a time when it didn't light on my first try so I am not sure why others are having a problem with that feature. The only thing I really need to figure out is where to find different tips for this particular iron. Other than that, for the price I can't find a lot to complain about. :-)

Good little unit that will go anywhere without a need for power or batteries and also doubles as a small torch if you remove the tip. Good for electronic/wiring.

It was great while it lasted. Got hot reasonably quick and burned hot enough to easily solder 12 ga wire. My only complaint is that after about 4 months of heavy use (almost every day doing stereos and lighting for hot rods), the iron crapped out. It seems it won't be filled or release gas. If you are just getting into soldering, this is a decent iron to start learning with and the price is pretty good
