2008 digitally remastered and expanded Legacy Edition of this album from the R&B legends formerly known as The Jackson 5 (their defection to CBS left Jermaine and their old name behind with the Motown empire). Includes three bonus tracks. This 1980 album has the group fleshing out their sound and songwriting abilities even more. The anthemic "Can't You Feel It" has enough hubris and undeniable craft to get this polished work started. But as Triumph plays, what's striking is that the songs don't immediately leap out at you but they all land on their feet. The blissful and funky tracks found on this album are effortless, punchy which maximizes the album. Triumph is a gorgeous effort and remains an absolute necessity for any comprehensive collection. 12 tracks. Sony/BMG. Review: Triumph a master piece like Destiny Album. - The Jackson 5 without Jermaine Jackson, Randy Jackson stepping in, in his place, and doing a fine job, this was the Jackson's at their peak with Micheal Jackson at the top of the world other than their Destiny Album this was the best and equally a master piece they done, followed by The Jackson's and Going Places which came before these two Albums on Epic which are also good Albums. Victory however was like all the brothers getting together The Jackson 6 lol, maybe I will listen to it again before I make my judgement. Of course their Live Album was brilliant same they never done a released DVD of that moment in time. Also 2300 Jackson Street without Micheal's full input, well its not the same is it, Review: Great :) - Exactly like the photo, my client loved this

I love this album
This takes me back to the days when my sister used to play and sing to everything on here. She had Triumph on vinyl and tonight, as I listen to the CD cut, I can almost hear every single scratch on that original record! All the songs are exactly as I first heard them all those years ago. After the huge Off The Wall album, this comes a close second to it. These two albums are where Michael started his huge vocal change from his Motown days. Stunning album. Thrilled it's still available. Best heard on a good amplifier/speaker system to get all the good, deep bass lines and other sound effects scattered throughout the album. Wow, the memories;-)

Under rated classic
At least as funky as Destiny, but more importantly, it's just great to have it on CD. Impeccable grooves!

superb
I agree totally with the reviwer above here. This LP out of all the Jacksons LP's is easily the best. Theres not a bad track on here. I remeber buying this on vinyl when i was 13 and got it after Thriller cam out. I still play this LP today and snapped it up as soon as it was released on CD. The only downside is that these reissues havent been remasterd unlike Michaels albums which is a shame but is only a minor niggle. The fantastic This place hotel and can you feel it are prbably the best tracks but Lovely one and your ways are divine too. If you like Michael and want to invest in a jacksons album..THIS IS THE ONE..get it now!

An overlooked gem with genius moments
I was very surprised to learn recently that Heartbreak Hotel only made it to No. 22 in the US and No. 44 in the UK at the time. Can You Feel it did better in the UK (No. 6.) but worse in the US (No. 77). Unbelievable! They deserved so much better! Maybe it had to do with the anti-disco backlash of the late '70s, early '80s, even though these songs are not really disco. However that anti-disco sentiment affected rhythm-driven black music in general. Whatever the reason was then, these songs are now classics and still a joy to listen to. Heartbreak Hotel (This Place Hotel) is often cited as a prelude to Billie Jean and given the dark, paranoid, menacing tone of it one can understand that. But also because it's a song that showcases Michael Jackson's brilliance as a composer. In the year 2012 I just cannot stop playing this song over and over again... Right now it's at the top of my favorite songs list. Can You Feel was written by Michael and Jackie Jackson and is a very inspiring anthem. If Heartbreak Hotel is a prelude to Billie Jean then this song is a prelude to all the songs that Michael later wrote about making the world a better place and uniting people instead of making war. But this one is an uptempo song, not a ballad. Its infectious and triumphant beat and horns were sampled numerous times since then, which alone shows that is a lot more worthy song than what its chart position showed and that it's a classic. The video, which was based on Michael's idea, was selected among MTV's best 100 videos of all times in 2001. It just shows how ahead of its time it was in 1980, when most videos were still very boring and non-creative. I also love Time Waits for No One with Michael's great vocals and Walk Right Now which makes you wanna dance.

GRANDES
Totalmente recomendable.
